The bandage glistened in the morning sun as Inshitsu flopped into the clearing that he had called his own. The grass felt soft to Inshitsu’s body as it tickled him and caused his body to start itch in every spot of exposed skin. Scratching to soothe the annoyance of the itch that had spread across his body, Inshitsu stood up to stop the spread of the itch. Feeling the itch diminishing from his body, Inshitsu stood at the center of the clearing. He gave the sky a glance as he shook the grass and clutter that had gathered on his body from his small break that he took on the ground of the clearing off. Inshitsu looked back down at the reality around him as he scanned for the kunai that he saw the day before that contained the note. The glint was hard to recognize against the lush environment around him, but as Inshitsu scanned the area a second time, the glint stood out with its rusted edge forming on the handle. Inshitsu walked, not towards the kunai, but away from it, and kept walking until he had hit the trees that prevented him from exiting the clearing. He stopped before the wall of trees in front of him and turned around to see the narrow glint in the distance that was supposed to be the kunai. Inshitsu squinted his eyes at the tree to make sure to himself that what he was looking at was the kunai and some sort of jagged metal scrap in the wall hadn’t gotten stuck in the wall while he was walking away from it. Nodding to himself, Inshitsu sucked in a deep breath as he relaxed his body and kept eye contact with the kunai. Inshitsu’s hands rose to his chest, and they started to wrap around each other. They became a blur as the formed the hand signs that belonged to his first justu that he had made. His hands stopped as the lightning started to crackle around them. The lightning quickly traveled through the air in a jagged pattern and while it still struck the kunai, it didn’t seem to happen at the normal time that it usually had occurs at. Inshitsu couldn’t see the result of the lightning striking the kunai and started to walk closer to look at the damage he had caused. He kept one of hands pressed to his chest because while doing the justu, he had felt a sudden pain in his chest that felt unnatural to him. Inshitsu stopped in front of the tree containing the kunai. The kunai’s rusty handle had turned black around the area that the lightning had struck. Inshitsu’s hand dropped from his chest and looked at the sun. It had barely moved from the position that he had seen at it earlier and the sky had become suddenly cloudy, which contradicted its earlier appearance of what looked to be a clear and shining morning. Inshitsu rubbed his head and he looked back at the clearing that surrounded him. Sighing, Inshitsu covered his bandaged hand as he walked back through the spiky wall of trees that separated him from people.
