“Hmmmm…. You’re getting stronger, but not at the rate that you need to.” A man with jet-black hair and thick glasses said to Naga. He looked at the man as he made his comment. He gave an annoyed sighed. Despite what he may have thought Naga thought that he was progressing just fine. As the man talked, Nagakoto began to tune him out; soon his random mumblings faded into the obscurity has Naga allowed his mind to wonder.  Naga grew tired of the constant grooming; there were days where he couldn’t even be his age. Everyone was worried about what level his skills were on, how many jutsus did he learn, and other questions that Nagakoto didn’t want to think about. There were days where he wished he could be free as the bird he once was. However, he knew that he had an obligation to his clan and that obligation came before his dreams of being free.
“Did you get all that?” the man spoke, using a slightly louder than normal pitch in his voice. Nagakoto snapped out of his daze with a confused look on his face. Naga gave a weak chuckle and nodded. The man, knowing that Naga hadn’t been listening for some time now, chuckled back and released Nagakoto. Once released Naga jumped to his feet and stretched. He then walked outside the building where Kenji wanted for him. // 233 words
