| Asura had always gone into the wilds of his village. He got rather restless being in the same village all the time and he got sick of just training and chores. THough he was now making a harder effort to not skip out on Master Roku's trainings. The man was kind and wise, and the closest thing he had to a father figure. But when he was mad, you knew it and he never got furious... but creative with his 'punishments'.
After the latest situation with the Akatsuki, he really didn't approve of Asura's action. So now, Asura decided to go on his own spare time than lounging around the Jiin temple. And so far, he chose to explore the caves of the mountains. Naturally, the older members of the village had said 'don't go in there, its dangerous,' or ' its no place to play in.' Asura was not one to listen to them.
It got him in trouble often but he was a rebel at heart. So he went, confident he could handle himself in any situation.
Entering the caves, he knew they honeycombed and branched out all over the mountains. Some were natural, others made by the village to hide supplies or some forgotten over a long period of time. Nowadays it was home for the few stray beasts or just empty caverns, but every so often you would find something of value.
After all, one of the Uwa's known resources were minerals. For all Asura knew, he might find something valuable that someone overlooked.
Using his hand, he wielded what chakra he could to make fire burn in his palm. A small trick he had learned since his clan was so drawn to fire. As such, seeing in the pitch blackness of the cave was no problem. Cautious on his own, he kept his short katana at his side as usual and made sure to keep his senses open. He admired the size of the cave and the glow of the minerals the firelight gave off on them.
"I wonder how far back these things go...." he wondered, as it was never really determined how far these caves went. No one knew as so many tunnels went unaccounted for.
*TRIP!* WHOOMP!
Asura was not looking where he stepped as he soon realized he had fell over an outcropping of rock. The flame in his hand went out briefly, leaving him in the dark. But after a creative swear, he got back to his feet and made the flame appear once more. There... he found a small slab of rock, with minerals shining inside it.
A smile came to his face as he examined the rock. It was a ninja chest-- transformed into something simple like a rock or other object, used when someone wanted to hide something.
"Hmm... bet this is useful," he said as he opened the box...

| The shining stone poofed into a box and Asura opened it, inside was a rather unique collection of tools and objects. Perhaps a Shinobi in the past hid it here for safe keeping, or while training. It was quite worn so he was very sure he was not stealing someone's possessions. They were worn, but not useless that was for sure. A little restoring and they would be good as new, or perhaps he could easily sell them for a bit of Ryo.
Satisfied with his find, he realized the caves were a great source of loot and possibilities. Deciding to mark his progress, he took a kunai from his pack and walked to a nearby wall where he found the box. Delicately, he scratched a small mark on the wall, indicating where he had been and where to continue next time.
Happy with his find, he took it and began making his way out to the cave exit. Not a bad way to spend his time, indeed!
