| The rains from the day before had long passed and Asura along with his 'master' Ravana, had camped out not too far. Using Earth Style, Asura was able to make a tent that was sturdy and well hidden to keep their camp a secret. While Ravana was still asleep, Asura was up early morning.
He had not eaten alot since that night-- when Roku died at the hands of Iwa's minister Deus. Asura despite the company of the often vocal Ravana, had not been in good spirits. His mind was burning with one desire now.
Revenge.
He had to make Deus pay for the crime he commited. FOr killing his master-- and for placing the blame on him. He was a wanted man now, and he knew it was only a matter of time before they would find him.
Standing near a cliff that overlooked the ocean, he looked out and remembered the lessons his master taught him. His chakra control, the power of the Tengan and mastering of Fire chakra. Everything he was , was thanks to Roku. He had to wonder how quickly people would be willing to believe the lie surrounding Roku's death.
Either way-- he had to grow stronger. He had only scratched the surface for his own strength, and he was not going to stop. If Deus was that strong, he was going to become stronger even beyond what Roku was if he had to. He would not let his master's sacrifice be in vain. He was going to make Deus pay for what he did and then some!
Asura closed his eyes and focused his chakra. He made a series of hand seals before him, feeling the ground below him begin to heat up! The ground began to glow red hot and veins of lava began to flow. Finishing the hand seal, he thrusted a fist into the ground-- and from it a blast of lava erupted from the ground before him.
The spew of lava soon flew up, and trailed off the cliff-- forming a falls of lava down into the ocean. As it slowly dripped its way down, it reached the water and soon let off a tremendous amount of steam. Slowly the land before Asura continued to grow more liquid, causing bubbles to softly rise up. Asura was now having more and more control over the powers of Lava. He had to learn how to master it.
Sadly he no longer had access to jutsu from Iwa's library-- even the lava techniques he could of learned. Now he truly was on his own. He had to create his own jutsu or find another means to buy it from another source.
"Hehe... heating things up, Asura?" Ravana's voice said, breaking Asura's concentration.
With it, the lava before him began to cool off and become ash-like stone again. Lava release involved transforming the very terrain. Without constant chakra focus or a more developed Jutsu-- the land reverted back to charred earth, as if the lava naturally cooled. Asura turned to Ravana, his arms crossed his chest as he looked at Asura training.
"Did I wake you?" Asura asked, worried if he disturbed him.
Ravana shook his head. "Naw, just was admiring your handy work. That's one hot jutsu you got there. I bet the ladies love it," he joked, trying to make Asura crack a smile.
But Asura didn't laugh nor smile. He just turned back and ignored the joke. "No, I haven't even used this rarely in combat yet. I don't know any Jutsu for it." he said.
Ravana frowned at that. "Aww... that sucks. When we find another town, we should try to see if any lava style are for sale." he said. "I bet you could make a killer hot spring."
"Doubtful..." Asura replied, forming hand signs.
Ravana looked a bit peeved at Asura's attitude, as he was further absorbed in training. The kid hardly ever spoke much since he got him out of Iwa. As Asura continued to focus his chakra, Ravana scratched his chin in thought, trying to find a way to lighten the boy's mood. While he was glad Asura was training, at the same time, his body wouldn't handle it if he didn't lighten up. "Asura, stop that for a while. We need to get some breakfast. After that, how about we work on your Taijutsu a bit? "
Asura turned around and looked to Ravana. "I'm not really hungry, thank you." he replied curtly.
However, Ravana was not about to let that go so easily. "Oh? So you are disobeying a suggestion from your mentor?" Ravana said, faking a wicked grin and cracking his knuckles.
Asura turned his head angrily, but stopped as he soon got a hold of himself. He realized Ravana was technically his mentor and sensei now. The wounds of Asura's loss was still fresh and the thought of calling someone else 'master' or 'sensei' irked Asura. But still, Ravana was far older than him and was keeping an eye on him. He owed him alot. If he didn't show Asura the summoning of the tigers-- Asura would of been as good as dead now.
"No... sir," Asura admitted, letting out a sigh and putting aside his anger. "Yeah... let's get some breakfast," he agreed.
"Good," Ravana said, and suddenly, delivered a strong punch against Asura's head, knocking him back. Though in truth, considering Ravana's large strength-- it was a love tap in comparison to his true strength. "Now that we got that out of the way, lets get some food. After all, you can't train if your starving your body. And then we can train. You're Taijutsu can use work," he said.
With a reluctant sign, Asura gave in to his master's demand and joined him at the camp to eat breakfast.
He's my master now, huh...? Asura thought as he walked over to the camp and sat himself down.
And so Asura now worked with Ravana, his new mentor and teacher. Though he was an odd master, with his great share of vices, including being a Rogue shinobi--he was a man Asura was beginning to trust. Little did Asura know, just how much trouble his Master would put him though.
End of Training thread and travel moment.
