The Journey to Shishen (Travel) / Yang Training Empty
PostSubject: The Journey to Shishen (Travel) / Yang Training   The Journey to Shishen (Travel) / Yang Training EmptyTue May 02 2017, 15:57

The alien landscape of the new continent had Asura's skin on edge as if electricity traveled his body. Since the events of the shinobi alliance vs the Shishen challenge-- the entirety of the alliance was virtually destroyed. Many did survive, but it was both a slaughter and humiliation for the people of his homeland. The cardinals had nearly destroyed them-- and yet it was all a test to see if they could survive a bigger threat.

The cool breeze swept through the trees of the land as he traveled the dirt road path along the area between the dragon country and phoenix country-- or so the map said he got from a nearby shop on the road. otherwise he was wandering in the unknown area. The green trees grew tall around him, similar to the land of fire, but with more height. The crisp breeze cooled his anxious body as he made heavy steps down the path to nowhere.

Wanted as a rogue ninja back home, the chance to explore the Shishen country was a good change of pace. he was fascinated by this area-- especially since it became clear that his mentor, Ravana, had come from here.

Still, even with the map, ASura was simply following the path ahead of him without question, more lost in his mind than with the terrain around him.

He realized how inadequate he was in the face of so many people-- even his own ally Hayabusa. Both he and the priestess of Shishen had the Rinnegan, and it made Asura feel small in comparison. Sure he had a Kekkei Genkai, but next to the power of the cardinals and Hayabusa, Asura felt lower than dirt. Not only did they beat them, but even Hayabusa with the Rinnegan and the power of a tailed beast, couldn't stop them. They were ultimately overpowered.

Asura kicked a stray stone in the road and watched it snap off the road. Though free to travel this new continent, he felt weighed down by the events that had happened. The soft chirp of birds and the play of sunlight through the trees eased his soul but not his anger. He had grown so strong in the past few years thanks to his master-- and yet he was powerless to avenge him, or even make a difference. Even the triumph in the ninja war against Kaguya seemed to pale in comparison now.

And Mantan was still out there...

"GHRRRA!" Asura growled. In a fit of rage, he drew a Kunai and threw it at a nearby tree. It struck the wood with a hard wack.

"Still throw like a girl, don't you, kid," a gruff voice spoke out from the trees.

Asura froze for a moment, the arrogant deep voice enough to make him stop and let out an exasperated sigh.

With a step out from a nearby tree-- not the one Asura threw the Kunai at-- stepped out a large muscular man with wild white hair and red tattoos that marked his face and bare chest. White baggy pants moved with his movements and a large nodachi was attached to the back of his hip.

"What are you doing here, Ravana?" Asura said with a bit of a sharp tone to the older man.

Ravana approached Asura with his arms crossed and looked down at the younger shinobi. "Don't you think you should be calling me 'Ravana-sensei, by now. Or Master. God, i love the sound of that." he said in a jest and snickered.

Asura glared at him. Grateful for what he taught him in Taijutsu and even the power of the Mantra Gates, Asura was still hesitant to trust him completely... and the death of Roku, Asura's true mentor and foster-father, was relatively fresh on his mind. "I had a sensei-- and he died a month ago..."

Whap! Asura's anger was subdued by Ravana's bear-grip hold on his head to mess with his hair. "Relax, kid. You need to lighten up. I mean't no disrespect-- but you gotta admit, I am technically your sensei now." He snickered as he let go and looked up to the sky. "I gotta admit... didn't think you actually would come to my home country of all places..."

Before Asura could swat Ravana's arm away-- his eyes went wide with surprise. "Wait... this is your homeland?"

"Yep... good times here," Ravana said as he turned and looked around the forest-- and the view of the distant northern mountains. "I originally from Tiger country. Did a few missions around this land. I did miss it... shame they didn't share my sense of humor. "

Asura frowned as he remembered Ravana was a rogue ninja as well-- mostly for theft, and brutality-- but more for his sexual deviants. "Let me guess, you pissed off the wrong buy by having fun with his wife?"

"The Emperor's Daughter... Daughters actually-- or was that from Dragon country... I forget," he bellowed with a lustful gleam in his eyes.

Asura shook his head. "Why am I not surprised... Wait, if that is the case, what the hell are you doing here? Isn't it dangerous for you to be back here?" he asked.

"Please, kid, who do you think I am?" Ravana boasted. "Im no more wanted here than I am back in your country. Difference is, I know my way around. At least enough to keep hidden." With that, the man leaned closer to Asura to look him in the eye. "So, where exactly are you off to? I hung around Dream-Eater with your new friends. The Akatsuki are not half as bad as I thought."

Asura sighed at the question of where he was going. He really didn't have any real place to go. "I don't know..." he grumbled with a turn of his head. "The cardinals said I could travel here but..."

"PFfft! The cardinals. Those sticks in the mud are half the reason I left. Hypocrits are more like it..." Ravana boasted. " I say they need to be brought down a peg-- in reality they are the ones who run this land, not the Emperors. They had their way, we would be mindless drones by now. There is no freedom in that."

Asura listened, but didn't comment on them. "So... did you get to meet em, Hm? What were they like?"

"I only fought two of them-- Kayo and Suzaku and Teruko. Personally, they were prettier with their armor on than off." Asura jived bitterly.

"BAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Ravana bellowed and slapped a knee. Without warning he threw an arm around Asura and dragged him with him as he laughed. "Kid-- I like your taste. Those two are bitches in the worst way... but they will get theirs. Though personally I wanna give em exactly what they deserve... if you catch my drift."

Asura tried to get out of his master's arm-lock, but he couldn't. "You are a serious pervert..." Asura grumbled.

"Don't lie... you were thinking the same thing," he said and gave him a light push-- which almost sent Asura over with his overbearing strength.

"So what now? I got no place to go to. I'm no better off since before I joined the Akatsuki to begin with." Asura asked.

Ravana scratched his beard and gave it some thought. "Well considering you had quite the ordeal... maybe some R&R is needed. Why don't we go to the Blood Vale junlge. I'm sure Boss Byakko is willing to let you stay."

"Huh, how ? It was in--"

"When I led you there, it was a summoning technique that allowed you access. This time we will go their directly-- which is here on this continent." Ravana explained. "Its nestled near the Tiger Country, naturally-- but hidden and just as difficult to enter as before."

Asura hesitated for a moment, he kept trying to think what to do-- even with the suggestion in front of him.

"Come on, kid. Lighten up a bit. You spend too much time in your own head, you never get anywhere." Ravana said and began to walk down the road. "Let's go. We can talk more on the way."

Despite his resistance to agree with anything Ravana said, he had a point. Lost in this unknown region, he at least had the company of the somewhat pervy warrior. With a sigh, he followed him again, in hopes to lead him back to the place w here he obtained his contract with the tigers.

Blood Vale Jungle of Shishin Continent.
