Houkou’s ears perked up at the sound of a twig. He began to sniff the air.
“Ugh… the stench…” he said. Hayabusa looked at him sideways. “Something is approaching it seems…” he said. Hayabusa opened his mouth and what he meant, but he was quickly thrown off by the oversized beast in front of him. It’s transformation made this monstrosity so much more devastating to lay eyes on. Houkou crouched low and began to growl.
“Kill?” he asked.
“Knock out… Asura said he secured this area. Could be a friendly…”
“A FRIENDLY!? Do you see his teeth? Because I see all of them.”
“Could be just a hungry cat…” Hayabusa said. Houkou looked at him.
“Are you sure you’re balanced? Shadow would kill it and not think twice…”
“And the man I used to be would want to leave it be and run without harming it…”
“Fair…”
“Or tame it…” Hayabusa added. It was then the beast began to run towards them, having his body turn into a tornado. The two jumped to the side, as the wind of the attack blew the bells in his straw hat. As the two watched the spinning cyclone divide them, Hayabusa’s right eye throbbed, but did not bleed. Before him, he shot the black flames of the Uchiha Clan that excel that of Enton known as Amaterasu, attempting to hit the Tiger as it flew by.
“I thought you said knock out…” Houkou mentioned at seeing the technique that was used.
“Don’t worry… if he’s caught in the flames I won’t let him burn to a crisp…”

The tiger was struck by the black flames of the Amateratsu. A rather overkill method. Sure, the tiger was indeed given a good warning from attacking the over powered enemy, but still-- using Blaze Release jutsu inside a heavily forested area was not smart. Not unless you had the means to extinguish it.

Regardless, the tiger's multiple heads retracted back to its body and like a housecat whom had his tail stepped on, AKuma tiger took back off to his corner of the jungle, not to be so foolish to seek out prey like Hayabusa again.

A rather anti-climatic exit indeed.

With his sensory skills, Vidav witnessed the fight which was over faster than it started. It was true that Akuma tiger, was but a simple beast in comparison to the rest of the Blood Vale Tigers. Still, that he was beaten so quickly made the elder tiger feel silly.

"Well, that was rather embarrassing. Maybe now Akuma will think twice before hunting big game away from his territory," Vidav said.

Asura was hardly surprised and sighed, knowing that AKuma tiger would lose. HAyabusa was formidable, and to Asura's knowlege, out powered the one-minded assault beast. " Why am I not surprised," he sighed. "Come on, lets keep going."

Asura and Vidav continued to move towards Hayabusa's location. Luckily, no other tigers came moving in according to Vidav, but soon Vidav spoke up again. "Asura, you have gifts of your own. You shouldn't be too jealous of the Uchiha?" he said, reading Asura's mind like a book. The tiger knew him well enough.

Asura just cringed a little, but kept moving ahead. "I just feel If I don't live up to overcome him... I'll never be able to survive, let alone make my way as a shinobi worthy of anything. If I can't have the same gift-- I will make my own. But only way to prove that is..."

"Is if you defeat someone as powerful as him?" Vidav answered for him, "Well there is some sound judgement on that part. But he is an ally, is he not?"

"Yes...?" Asura answered.

"Well, I got news for you. You're allies are more than likly willing to help you than hinder you-- if you just be honest with them." Vidav said with a cat-like smirk.

Asura said nothing more and approached the general area.

For the moment, Hayabusa and Houkou were left alone along the jungle path. There was no immediate danger for them at the moment--

However, hidden in the trees, someone indeed was watching them. A playful presence, and one who was about to give Hayabusa a 'warm welcome' in true Shinobi and Blood Vale Jungle fashon.

"Doton... Pitfall Jutsu"

CRUNCH!! The next step Hayabusa made suddenly caused the ground below his feet to violently cave in. The drop was roughly 6 meters deep, with a rather hard bottom to crash into if they fell in directly.

Someone had set a trap for wayward travelers on the trail-- perhaps to catch animals or intruders.

Hayabusa was sure to absorb the Amaterasu flames before the tiger went scurrying away, from both its body and the forest. Hayabusa looked at the wolf and shrugged.
“Not the swiftness I expected, but… whatever.” They continued to walk, before somebody activated a trap before them. Houkou growled as, right before them, as the ground began to crumble, the trap seemed to pass right around them as he controlled the earth beneath him to stay stabilize. Here they stood, on a tower of dirt, with a 6 meter hold beneath them. The support of the tower crumbled, but to the surprise of the watcher, the earth they stood on would stay floating in mid-air.
Hayabusa took a step, and as he did, the earth beneath them in the pit had begun to create a bridge with each step, allowing them to get to safe ground. The two of them looked around, as Hayabusa began to scan for any chakra signatures. Normally, upon making visual contact of an attacker, he’d send a jutsu in that direction.
“Not the most hostile we’ve dealt with…” Houkou mentioned.
“Yea, however… it is annoying to say the least…” Hayabusa responded.

From his distance away from the trap Asura had set up with his ninjutsu, he felt utterly insulted and pathetic that somehow Hayabusa had just reformed the earth around him to make a bridge. he didn't yet notice the little odd dog by his side, but he somehow felt a but unease by this strange sense that Hayabusa was not alone. There was something different about him.

"Well that was underwhelming..." Asura said. He had yet to use his Tengan yet so he was limited to accuracy at such distance. He sat on a nearby tree limb as Vidav stood on his own branch, observing the shinobi afar with his hands held together with his long sleeves covering them.

The tiger observed the shinobi. "Well, is you want to entertain them... perhaps I should give a shot at it," the tiger said with a clever smirk.

Asura turned his gaze to Vidav, getting an idea what he had planned. "I... wouldn't recommend it, Lord Vidav," Asura commented as he stood up. "Uchiha are like... master Genjutsu specialists. They are completely immune to it if they have the training and I'm very certain he does."

Vidav smirked and flexed his paws out. He soon sat himself down cross legged upon the branch. As they were, they were hidden within the shroud of the jungle. Unless the Sharigan could see through objects-- there was no true way that they would notice him from so far away. "Perhaps, but even the most skilled Masters of Genjutsu can fall prey to it if they don't know what it is."

Vidav soon joined his paws together in a sage-like meditation. Finally, reached up his head and gave a loud, tiger-like roar out into the jungle. THe voice echoed off the trees and made its way towards Hayabusa and HOukou's direction.

As Hayabusa left the flimsy pitfall behind them, they had no further issue. However, the sound of a far off tiger's roar could be heard in the distance. A simple sound natural for such a jungle, as there were many sounds chirping, growling or humming around them in this rainforest.

However, as they would move through the jungle, something would soon begin to feel off to the two of them. The path they were on was clear, but the thicket of the jungle was thick. It had been hard enough before, but after a good amount of time, they wouldn't seem to be getting anywhere. Trees would start to look the same and no matter what direction they would go, all they could see was the maddening ocean of trees.

In truth... they had fallen prey into one of Vidav's most notorious traps that many intruders could not resist.

The Cursed Jungle Jutsu.

A Powerful Genjutsu transferred by sound to make the illusion of a never-ending jungle. Because they were already inside a thick jungle, it would of been impossible to notice the jutsu. Even more so, the sound that carried the genjutsu was so subtle they wouldn't of realized it. There was no way they could of prevented this Genjutsu from the wise tiger sage.

And so from afar, Vidav watched and waited to see what they would do. Now, the true welcoming party would begin.

The roar had come from far away. At this point, it became a game of braving a booby trapped haunted mansion. Houkou’s immunity kept him from being affected. He looked at Hayabusa, who, without him and Houkou currently merged, had been submerged into the Genjutsu.
‘Hayabusa…’ Houkou said telepathically.
“I know…”
‘Well why aren’t you doing anything?’ he asked. Hayabusa smirked. He basked in the Genjutsu for a moment, looking around at all the trees, taking in the sensation.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been subject to Genjutsu… wanted to re-experience the feeling…” his eye spun, as the Genjutsu dispelled, not due to visual prowess, but due to his ability to reverse the Genjutsu onto the caster. The chakra used to have him subdued would be redirected to the beast in which it came possibly undetected for a moment. Perhaps this would lead him off his own course of pursuing Hayabusa…
