Rice, Rice baby (Farming Mission)

Okay, so it wasn't exactly the Glamorous and cool type of mission that Fuu imagined when she was studying Jutsu and stuff like that but, at the very least it was helping out. She stood on one side of the enclosed field, she was surprised that they had managed to stake out a spot in the sand village where they could get anything at all to grow. She was bare foot with pants rolled up, over the knees. It was a largish rice field and they managed to keep it the correct amount of wet and right at this very moment it was time to get a harvest for them. She looked over at her partners in this endeavor and grinned. "Alright boys, Ready to get started?"

Reo stood next to Fuu, concentrating hard as he looked at the field before him.

First they were to learn from a Kinjutsu scroll, and now they had to harvest a field? Reo had been required to teach their Jounin the technique he learned at the end of the mission but now they threw him into this.

Perhaps the Jounin liaison was right. Regardless, when Fuu asked if they were ready, Reo only smiled.

“Fuu, this job was made for us...with what we know we can be done in minutes.” Reo smiles more as he made some hand seals and said “Taijuu Kage Bunshin No Jutsu”. A hundred and 25 Reo’s popped into existence. The extra manpower would be helpful but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t be tiring. Reo could already feel the empty state of his chakra channels from creating so many clones.

Shao, Kyle and Mari stood by the others of Suna,unsure what kind of mission they had assigned to them. But this was it. It was hard for Shao to imagine that in this desert they could harvest a rice field like this. They must have migrated a lot of water and soil to make this area fertile for farming. It was impressive as far as Shao knew.

Kyle looked at the rice patties, and frowned. "How did we go from bandit thrashing to being farm hands?" he groaned, sighing as he took one of the rakes to harvest the plants. "This ain't gonna raise my reputation at all."

"A ninja acts for the accomplishment, not the reward, Kyle," Mari said as she happily took her own rake. A glint was in her eye-- she loving the work when it came to agriculture. Shao did recall the young kinochi loved gardening and plants.

It was then a sudden thing happened-- Rao created hundreds of clones. Shaos' eyes widened, as did Mari. She nearly dropped her rake at the sight of it-- but she knew this art. As did shao. A technique famous to the Konoha's Hokage.

"How did you learn that jutsu?" Shao asked, his tone a mix of anger and amazement. That was their village's forbiddne jutsu, so how did this guy learn it?

Still this was a mission and he was working to understand what had to be done. Still, something was very off what he just saw.

Fuu sighed of course that would happen work like this was boring, it was obvious that Ryo would want to get it done as quick as possible. The issue with the leaf ninja probably wouldn't even have occurred to him, how was he supposed to know that they would actually know what the Jutsu was. Fuu looked over board at Shao. "Our Jounin taught us how to make the hand signs, which by the way are really simple, But Ryo has more chakra than he know's what to do with cause normally he's really focused on the physical but I guess more him's was particularly interesting. I can do it too, but, I wasn't gonna make so many... that is a lot of Clones" she waved her hand in the direction of the clones, she sounded unusually frustrated for her usual personality.

"Either way, are you gonna harvest rice or are you gonna gawk at the neet trick. Ryo be careful not to have too many in at once or the water will flow out of the contained area." She hopped in to the field and began to harvest the rice.

Reo was saved from having to answer how he knew the taijuu kage bunshin no jutsu by Fuu, thankfully. “Hey! I’ve improved on my chakra control! I even had to do the tree climbing activity. That was difficult.”

Reo and his many clones began to work. A few were near the Leaf Shinobi. “Shao and...I’m sorry I don’t remember your names? Either way, what can you tell me about the Hokage. Do you think they would meet with me at the Chuunin Exams? I have some...matters to discuss with them about creatures known as dragons. Supposedly they’ll know more than our Kazekage does.”

Another Reo hopped on top of the one talking to the trio’s shoulders and began to talk as well. “Also, would it be bad if I used this technique at the exams? If I want to meet he hokage, I don’t want them being mad at me”

Fuu was right about not being able to use all of the clones, and about two thirds of them ended up being useless - so Reo dispelled them. The real Reo was near Fuu working in the fields out of hearing from the lead trio. “Using this technique here wasn’t the best idea, was it? Do you plan on using it at the Chuunin Exams?”

There was some truth to Fuu's words. THough Shao had his supsicions to make so many clones, the number of clones anyone could make via regular shadow clone jutsu came down to the amount of one's chakra. To use that many a single blow would be enough to knock em over. Shao's gentle fist could probably do it with the least amount of force.

THough Mari and Kyle were worry about their new 'friends', SHao took a deep breath. "I suppose that is true... its just oddly close to our village's forbidden multi-shadow clone technique." he said with an edge of suspicion towards Rao. Still he moved on and continued with the harvesting of the rice.

Rao soon brought the attention of the conversation over to the Kage, to which Shao answered as he stopped his work. "The Kage? They are all supposed to be at the exams. Its part of the protocol." he said, "Though i wouldn't know about dragons. Sorry," Shao said. He knew what dragons were but didn't know they were 'real' as living creatures.

Now that Shao would love to learn about.

The mention to show that technique to the Kage did raise Kyle's ire " THat be a good way to start a war, if your stupid to use that..." Kyle said, raising his ire. It was clear that he suspected from Rao might of stole that jutsu from Konoha's knowlege. It wasn't like the Rasengan-- a jutsu shared to all nations as public knowledge. Jutsu like that were village treasures and were not just handed out easily.

Shao just shrugged. "I don't care for clones that much. They are good defense but you do realize they hardly last a fight," Shao said as he continued raking his work. It didn't take him long to finish.

Mari on the other hand exceeded them all. When no one was looking, not only did she harvest her share, but somehow the plant had doubled its yield. None of them saw how or when it happened but the plant seemed to explode around her to create more rice. "Are we almost done here. I'm sure we have more missions, right?" she asked.

Fuu looked over, at Ryo just out of ear shot and rolled her eyes. "Gee, you think? And no, I'm not sure that I will, or if I do I'll be keeping it to a low number, ten or so is enough to get the job done." It was easy strange that they knew so much about the shadow clones, then again maybe they were just paranoid. all the rice was harvested and deposited, Fuu went to tell the farmer and then came back.

"Okay yha, There is a series of chores to get done. Gotta be a long day."

“I will request a meeting with the Hokage, then.” The Reo-clone said to the trio as it worked. The work was hard but it went quick enough as it was split across so many clones and other people.

“I think you mistake their durability. I mean, sure, they aren’t as strong as I am but they are still a Power multiplier. I would hazard a guess that they can withstand a punch from you.” Reo spoke from experience as he had felt the taijutsu using Genin’s fist once before - before he had become a genin himself. “Not to imply you are weak, I know your strength all too well.”

Eventually, Reo looked around and found that there was no more work to be done and he released his jutsu. Now only one Reo remained.

Shao cast a darker look at Reo. Something was odd with him, and it seemed this person was more devious and darker than the monk seemed to be. But that might just be his overcautious nature. He let out a breath and tried to put it out of his mind.

It seemed a rivalry was beginning to form between Reo and the young Hyuuga shinobi. At the very least, it was a matter of concept and strength. Still no matter how strong a jutsu someone had, it meant nothing without the strategy and wits to use it right.

Though the tentsion still was a bit tense, more so for Kyle and Shao-- Mari stood up and brushed off the dirt from her skirt. "Okay, so what is next."

But if the others were more observant, Mari seemed to have a secret as well. The rice plants still continued to grow behind them. Whatever she did to the plants, they seemed to be very happy. As if she had an influence over them.
