Lost Pet (mission)

Fuu was now at bringing the group to the area of the old man's house, she knew the details already but it would be good to let the old man know. She checked back to make sure nobody had lost her along the way. The house itself wasn't that large but it wasn't exactly the location they were going to be looking anyhow. She knocked on the door, and it soon opened to a very old looking man, balding, liver spots wispy white hair that type of stuff. "Morning, We're here to help you find you pet lizard, someone should have sent ahead right?"

The old man licked his lips, they were very dry looking and spoke. "Alright, I see there's a few of yha, that's good good. Albert is a slippery lizard you see. He waved them into the house and Fuu followed him with the others in tow. He picked up a picture of the lizard, with him in it when he was much younger, it looked like a small bearded devil type lizard. "Albert's been my best friend for nearly thirty years, but while I was out walking him yesterday he got away from me and I haven't seen him since. Last place I was with him was in the rock park, you know the one where people bring their pets sometimes." Fuu nodded. "Don't worry we can find him right everyone? let's go."

Shao quickly followed the nice girl Fuu, along with Mari and Kyle beside them. They approached a man's house to learn about the mission-- to retrieve a lost pet it seemed. A lizard, of odd choice of pets, but in a desert, it probably wasn't that bad. Still, Shao couldn't imagine how big this lizard would of gotten on his own. The picture Mari looked at. Though her expression was cool, her face soften. "Aw, its a cute little guy." she said.

"Willing to bet its much bigger after these years. Certain lizards are known to grow forever as long as they live. Snakes for example," Shao informed, having studied such zoology. He turned around and soon focused his chakra to his eyes. "This should be a simple matter. With my Byakkugan, i should find it in a matter of minutes." he said, his eyes now showing the veins. "Catching it might be a touch more time."

Shao looked thorugh his eyes to locate the general rock park. He soon hopped up ahead of the others, finding slightly higher ground-- till he saw something. Lizard tracks, and big ones roughly the size of a bird's talon. He could tell them apart though by the spacing and type of print.

"Its over that way," Shao called pointing to the sunny spots where the setting sun was.

Reo walked into the house after Fuu. Finding a lost pet. An honourable and helpful job that they were assigned. The difference between this one and the last was that he could actually see the satisfaction on the man’s face whenever they safely returns the little guy.

The old man showed them a picture of him with the lizard. Thirty years was a long time. Did lizards actually live that long. Didn’t they die after like five years? Whatever. He had a really long lived lizard. That was a good thing, Reo supposed.

“Do you have lizards like this in Konoha as well, then?” Reo asked the White Eyed Dragon as he activated his eye. Reo was still unsure what the eye actually did when it got veiny, so he turned to one of the other Konoha Shinobi.

“His eyes are strange. What can he do with them?” Before the girl (Mari? She didn’t talk much so Reo wasn’t sure of her name) , could respond, Shao pointed saying the lizard was that way. He pointed towards the sun,but Reo didn’t mind. He put one hand on his forehead and began to run in the direction that Shao had indicated.

Before long, he was standing in front of a large lizard track. “This should be easy to track but what then? If it’s this large there may be difficulty in capturing it.” Reo said as he considered the problem. They couldn’t just carry it back as the creature likely weighed a ton. Could they lure it back somehow?

Fuu nodded at the tracks, the lizard was probably at least that big good thing super eyes man was here to help them out. She giggled internally at her own little joke, although it wasn't exactly wrong at all but it was a funny way to call it. Still the tracks were leading them to the right place probably and it didn't take long to find the lizard.

It was indeed a much larger version of the lizard in the picture, and it was resting on a big rock apparently sunbathing. It looked lazily at the group and made a sort of, dismissive sound with it's mouth and went back to looking like it was asleep. Fuu moved to go and touch the, probably three and a half foot behemoth and it immediately hissed at her when she got too close, then went back to resting when she backed up.

"Okayyyy, How bout this then" Fuu pulled out another meat on a stick she had put in her belt pouch for later. She pulled the meat off of the stick and tossed it to the lizard. The big scaly beast noted that there was food in his general vasinity and made a little licking motion at it before grabbing it with his mouth. Now Fuu approached with a little of the meat in her hand and the lizard didn't snap at her this time, he let her get close and took the meat from her while she pet him. "Alright, I think we can take him back now."

Though his vision was sharp, his speed seemed to need work now as he followed the others. They soon found the lizard in question among the rocks and crevices. At Reo's questions, Shao answered without looking. "Some snakes and things..." he said, but more focused on catching the missing pet.

At Rao's question-- Mari turned to him. Though cautious, she thought it be okay. "SHao is of the Hyuuga clan. They are known to have a powerful Doujutsu that allows them near 360 degree vision-- it also allows them to see through objects and at great distances. Nothing is really beyond their sight." she explained as they moved to catch their target. "They also have a Kekkei genkai to allow the maximum use of chakra control possible-- they can manipulate all their chakra points on their body. Something for normal shinobi is of an expert level. "

By the time she finished explaining, they found the lizard. As Fuu had fed the lizard and was leading it back to its home, the reptile would look to Shao with interest. It was as if the animal was drawn to him, curious by his aura or scent. In truth Shao was a neutral person but was easily swayed by the way animals looked up to him. He had a natural gift with animals it seemed. Something even Mari envied.
