Moving while standing still

It was time for wind now, the basis of her scorch attacks she could tell from the fire that her wind attacks were going to be some sort of giant tornado. This was going to be hilarious if she had anything to say about it, and hilarious it was. The wind blew across the landscape like a monster, and Fuu had the idea that she could make it look like a beetle, that would be cool. At the very least she could make it look like something horrific, or like the Horn or something, that would be cool.

Dismissing the clones, slowly so that she didn't absorb to much nature energy Fuu now needed to work on getting her scorch to work together with itself and the Nature chakra. Wind and fire together, and then the scorching tornado sprang up in front of her, the amazing display of powerful chakra this was basically what she wanted from it a more powerful version of Tatsumaki. Now all that was left was to refine it into the ground.

While Fuu practiced, she didn't know of a certain woman who was watching from high above her. She had been there the whole time, and no stranger to the young woman. She was impressed by how far she progressed and smiled content. She would be worthy to use scorch style and even more impressive that she learned how to use the Suna's beetles to master a form of Sage mode. That alone required the most committed of discipline.

Slowly, she descended soundlessly partly to surprise the girl. She got up relatively close while mid focused. "Hmmm... looks like you almost got it. Almost," she said with a chuckle to rattle the girl.

When Fuu would turn around, she would see her.


Ryoko Kogeta-- a jounin of the same clan as Fuu. Though they didn't interact as much due to busy demands of the village, Ryoko was technically a cousin to the young chunin. She smiled kindly to the girl, while laughing that she startled her. "You should be more aware of your surroundings. Never know whom might sneek up on you. And here I thought those sages were the most observant."

Before Fuu could do more though -- Ryoko flew down from the air using her floating jutsu to swing around and hug her classmate tightly like an older sister would to a younger sister. "Ooooh, I'm so happy for you. Congratulations on the Chunin Exams! NOt surprising though." she said, carelessly making the embrace uncomfortable

Fuu might not have been aware she was being watched but she was pretty good at defending herself even if she was caught by surprise. Ryoko though, Ryoko was a different story for Fuu she didn't normally have the option of dodging surprise hugs and of course the clan jutsu made her faster than normal. That isn't to say Fuu couldn't have moved out of the way but she wasn't going to not let Ryoko hug her.

"let go~ you're gonna suffocate me" She extradited herself from her cousin's grasp.

"I'd better be unsurprising, I managed to beat some like hidden Chunin in the first round or something. I'd be mad if I didn't make it after that." She puffed her chest out, with pride.

Ryoko let go of the young woman, smiled as she hovered in mid air. "Well, just take it easy too. Training is all well and good but you're young. Go have some fun once in a while," she said as she hovered in the air leisurely, pretty good at flying around.

That and part of her wanted to avoid the beetles that were around. She cast a dirtly look at the beetles. "honestly though, not sure why you would work with these things? Haven't you heard the stories how beetles are man eaters?" Ryoko said, a shiver going up her body. "You got more nerve than me to make a contract with those things. "

It was then that Ryoko finally hovered back down onto a nearby sand-lump, and tossed back her hair. "Anyway, I wanted to ask you something. Have you given serious thought to the bounties? Our clan is known for our little side-business of playing 'bingo', you know." she danced around the truth-- the bingo book.

The list of rogue ninja around. It was their clan that often handled such affairs, and were good at it too. And Ryoko was one of the higher ranked members of it. Of course, it had less to do with pride of a village, and more for the material reward.

"The last thing I want is to throw you into a mission you are not ready for, but..." Ryoko said with a smile, "Seeing how good you are, you may be well suited to come with your big sister Ryoko on some heavy-weight targets. I'm thinking 'cha-ching!' " she added with a smirk.

Elsewhere-- a tear in space opened up in the dunes further away, out of sight from the others. A figure dropped down and the claw-shaped tear in space knitted back up. A red clad figure stood out among the sands as the winds swept the sand about him. He guarded his face with his arm, searching around.

"Long time no see, Suna..." Asura said as he observed the hidden sands, spotting the settlement in the distance. Though he had some distance to cover to reach the hidden village, he could travel to and from the location by foot easily. Heat was rarely a bother to one who controled fire as well as he could.

With that, he took off running, moving through the desert with great ease.
