Beast in the Mists (Training)

Shan laughed as the large brute of a man asked if he got many sparring partners of himself. “Exactly, right. “

Shan did pause as the man walked forward and stared at Shan. Shan didn’t back down and he wasn’t afraid. This man – Broly, was it – didn’t see the extent of what Shan could do. His blood control..well, it wasn’t possible to fight your own body. To attempt to do so would only cause you to end up injuring yourself as Shan stood safe. If Broly attacked, Shan could easily just use blood chakra to subdue him once again and that would tell Shan whether it was someone he could trust or not, though he hoped he could. A powerful ally was extremely important to the young shinobi.

“I thought you would be interested.” Shan said as Broly began to talk once more. His speech seemed forced – almost as if he wasn’t used to talking that often. “To begin our teaching, do you know how to make a regular clone? It will be much easier if I don’t have to start with that.”

Broly grunted at the thought. He never particularly cared for the clone method. Sure if this specific one was tougher than normal, great. Still he knew clones came with their own disadvantages. For starters, they were weaker than the original and didn't have much use in battle than decoys. He hated such tactics. He was more of a taijutsu fighter and often hated having to fight such decoys himself.

Still, Broly's senses sharpened as he looked around. "Maybe here isn't the best place for training?" he suggested, his senses starting to sharpen. "I think I might have pissed off enough mist shinobi to warrant a search party."

He led Shan further out of the village outskirts to the woods outside. The mist still wove through the trees, but it gave them more room and cover from searching shinobi. At least there they could train in relative peace...

... and was walking distance to the nearby hot spring where Broly could entertain himself with the women there later.

For now, they could focus. "Unfortunately, no," Broly grunted at the question about the clone jutsu. "I never bothered due to the fact clones are not much use in battle besides decoys. It hasn't been my style." he said. "I do know of it, but i never resorted to it."

Shan nodded his assent to be led away by Broly. This man didn’t seem the type to lead someone to a trap, so he didn’t truly fear one. Once they were in a safe distance – with the mist undulating around them as if it were alive – Broly expressed that he never bothered to learn the Clone jutsu. He had a point in that it was a fairly pointless Jutsu in combat – but he was wrong about the Shadow Clone technique if he thought that it, too, was only useful for decoys.

“You have a point about the clones being weaker than the original. Unlike the regular clone technique, the Shadow Clone technique works by equally dividing your chakra among many different bodies. Now, you can choose how much chakra to give them. The thing that is important to note for a large person such as yourself, is that the amount of chakra put into the clones doesn’t affect their physical attributes. They seem to perform at the same level regardless of the amount of chakra they receive. The chakra only matters if you plan on having them perform Ninjutsu – as they disappear if they run out of chakra.”

Shan demonstrated the Tiger seal required to create the shadow clones. “This is the seal to perform the technique. Time to try it.”

Broly sighed as he rolled his eyes and focused his chakra. Still wasn't his style but if sparring with himself would improve his use of building up his strength, no reason for him to be picky. Besides, he got ideas how to use it himself.

But those pervy thoughts would be for later.

He focused his chakra and made the hand sign. He expelled the chakra, focused on making a double of himself.

With a poof of smoke, there was soon a second dark-haired figure beside him. A mirror image of Broly, forming the same hand sign as he did. Curious, Broly looked to the carbon copy and the two smirked at one another. "Heh, not bad," he said, admiring himself.

“Good, you got one.” Shan said as he watched. He began to walk around and examine the clone from a variety of angles. In every way, shape, and form it was an exact replica. “It looks good. Now, try to spar the clone. It will be weaker than you, which is why you may need to learn to create more than one. If this clone is a third as strong as you, then you will defeat it easily. But what if you were fighting three of them? A hundred of them? Could you defeat a hundred clones of yourself that were at a third of your strength?”

Shan stepped back to allow the two to fight. He was catching onto the clone technique much faster than Makoto had. “When we are done here, remind me to introduce you to Makoto Junpaku. He’s young and doesn’t’ have the same intensity as you, but he has formidable ninjutsu powers that could be helpful for us in achieving our goals. Well, I say he is young but he is the same age I am. We’ve got time to toughen him up.”

The way Shan looked over the clone crept him out. "No offense, but i prefer a woman checking me out than you," Broly's clone commented.

The original rolled his eyes as he heard Shan explain to start a spar with the clone. Broly smirked at himself as the clone charged, attempting to run in with a punch-- the two soon struck a mutual blow, both blows hitting straight on to the fists. THough weaker, Broly felt the application of strength, and both partners grinned. "Not bad..."

He sparred a few more blows within the mist, the clone able to handle a good few of them. "Not bad at all..." he said as he rose up, the clone also taking a rise as well.

Shan mentioned another member, Makoto who was same age as him. "Jeez... why am i surrounded by members who can barely hold their liquor. " he said in a boastful tone. " AM I the only man in this gang?" he semi-joked.

Shan rolled his eyes in return. The man thought he was a powerful monster – but it wasn’t necessarily the truth. Shan had held back when fighting him. Blood control made things too easy, though. After-all, what fun was it to defeat a helpless opponent that you could control with a flick of your fingers. Still, Shan was fine letting this person think that age made him more powerful.

“You’re the eldest so far. Our recruitment isn’t done, yet. “ Shan replied as he watched the spar. The clone seemed able to hold its own, which was a good sign. It wasn’t bad, though it was definitely much simpler than the type of fighting Shan performed with his clones. This person had more power – though less speed – than Shan did. It made for impressive displays of brutality but for no displays of flashiness. Shan had to admit to himself that he enjoyed the flashiness. “By the way, your eyes never changed. I’ve been…contemplating a method to take someone’s eyes from them. Have you heard of Kekkai Genkai? Or a Dojutsu? Once my idea comes to fruition, I plan on taking those special eyes from people and using them for myself. Would you like in on that as well?”

Clearly this kid had his own secrets-- still Broly preferred to be around those his own age, or at least those he could team up with in a bar to hit on some women. Censor for obviously explicited content Still, he had skills. If this was serious, things would of gotten nasty on both sides.

Putting that aside, Broly just listened as he flexed his muscles a bit and rotated his neck to loosen up. "Well, not sure if i can find others but I'll look around . What is this little 'club' you're making called?" he asked in a slight mocking tone. Then the topic changed to Kekkei Genkais? Broly spat near Shan-- just slightly off but not hitting him. "What am I, an idiot?" he said offended, "I know what bloodline traits are. Stupid things to obsess over. Power is power-- though I have one. I am of the Saniou clan originally," he explained, "I don't have Doujutsu." The idea to steal another person's kekkei genkai or doujutsu however, got the evil wheels in Broly's mind moving. "Hmm... that is an interesting idea now that you mentioned it."

He recalled how he had the ability to assimilate organs and such into himself from fallen foes. It started to give Broly ideas how to adapt the doujutsu and other forms of clan powers into himself. But that would be a while and he kept that detail to himself.

"I'll be happy to lend my strength to you, but not now. I think we need to cement things first," he said in a strong tone. "Anyway, how does this multi-shadow clone jutsu help you train more?"
