The Lion's Roar [ Quest | ]

Jiin Kaitou-Aoi was possible the only one of Squad three who was truly of Iwa descent. His clan had been involved in Iwa since the birth of the country and was prominent figure at that. This made life for Kaitou very difficult to say the least. Pressure was on him from the moment he would be able to enter the academy. He was expected to be at the top of class, which he wasn’t. He was expected to know all the academy jutsu, He knew most. Kaitou wasn’t a bad ninja nor was he a good ninja. Kai was simply just an average ninja.

Most were shocked when he simply just passed his exams as opposed to exceeding it. The person who didn’t end it with him was his own father, Jiin Saijou.
“Kaitou, You are behind. You need to be better” He taunted his son as they sat the table. Kaitou turned to his mother for help but she remained silent. He placed his head down over his tea and continued drinking.
“I’m sorry father” He said underneath the silence. His father slammed his fist on the table and stood up.
“Sorry doesn’t make me not feel embarrassed to call you a son” He yelled as he stood and walked away.

Kaitou could hear the sound of his father stomping away. Drops of water fell from his face and hit against the table. Some drops would even fall into his tea. His mother looked up from her own tea and stared at her son who was crying. She placed her hand on the side of his cheeks and lifted his face to see her own. She let go a light smile and replied.
“Kaitou, Don’t pay any mind to your stubborn father.” She said. She brought his face closer to her own and smiled.
“The Lion of Iwa will roar” She replied.

That night would be the last night anyone would ever hear about Jiin Sai or his wife. Both mysteriously disappeared. Rumors would surface that Tsuchikage sent them on an infiltration mission and they failed. Other rumors surfaced stating they were murdered by one of the many rival clans in the world. But the Jiin Clan knew. Kaitou knew. She remembered the screams of his mother as his father ravaged and murdered his own wife in cold blood. He remembered the eerie silence as his father killed himself in efforts to his own crimes. Kaitou knew his family covering for death only explained to the Tsuchikage. Kaitou surely knew.

So as he sat there amongst Heise and Hei-mei and listened to the questions, he clenched his hands together and prayed to the Gods he believed in.
“What are you goals?” The Jounin asked. Kaitou raised his head and looked at his teacher. He then sat up tall and answered.
“I want to protect those closest to me from the grips of evil.” He said. He could feel the faces of everyone now staring at him but he didn’t care. He was now consumed with a hatred of those with bad intentions. It was hatred that was driving him to his strength.

“We need to think of a plan” Heise said as the trio stood aimlessly waiting for the Jounin to appear. Kaitou was already tired of the new blood’s will of happiness and strength.
“The plan is for you to stay out of my way” Kaitou replied bitterly. Yukimura turned to Heise and reached for his shirt and grabbed him and pulling him in closer than before. Yukimura released a sigh and let him go frustrated at the boy.
“There is no way we will make it to the squad if we don’t work together” Heise said. Kaitout turned his head.
“There are only two bells.”

Kaitou stood face to face with Kitsuchi their Jounin alone and raised his hands as he prepared to do his jutsu. Kitsuchi had a smirk on his face then it clicked into his head. Kaitou wouldn’t be able to win on his own. He needed his teammates. He reached in his pouched. Kitsuchi readied himself for whatever Kaitou was about to pull. Kaitou grabbed the small pebble in his hand and threw it on the ground. Immediately smoke projected from the ball. Kitsuchi raised an eyebrow but dashed into the smoke. It was in the midst of the smoke his senses to him to block a kick coming in.

When the smoke cleared it was not Kaitou who Kitsuchi was fighting but rather Heise. From behind, Kaitou appeared with a smile in his face. He began to form a string of hand seals, but was stopped by Kitsuchi who appeared right in front of him.
“Shit I can’t move” Kaitou yelled. Suddenly Shuriken flew around him and Kitsuchi had to move to avoid them. Whoever threw the shuriken had been careful not to hit Kaitou in his state. Hei-Mei the girl with white eyes appeared next to Kaitou. Heise would soon join the trio.
“Well, It looks like squad three is going to work together” Kitsuchi said with a smile.

Even Kitsuchi had to admit that the brutal Offensive power of Heise & Kaitou was something he wasn’t prepared for.
“Those two, have so much potential” He said. Hei-Mei who retreated to the back was analyzing every movement the fighters were making. Kaitou and Heise appeared next to her and took a moment to catch their breath.
“Heise, He’s to strong” Kaitou complained. Heise said nothing.
“I have a plan” Hei-Mei said. Both boys were surprised. Hei-Mei relayed the information and then began to charge at the man. He threw two kunai at the Jounin who was ready to block with his own.

Heise appeared first forming hand signs.
“Earth Style: Devastaing Earth” He yelled slamming his hands on the ground. From the ground spikes rushed in at heavy speed at the opponent. Kitsuchi jumped in the air and Hei-Mei followed trying to attack with a Kunai. Kitsuchi now had to use both his hands to hold the kunai and brace himself from the force of Hei-mei. Kaitou who appeared behind Kitsuchi managed to grab both the bells from the Kitsuchi who was preoccupied with Hei-Mei. Heise rejoined his squad on the ground and the team celebrated in victory.
“Not so fast” Kitsuchi said with a smirk.
“There are still only two bells”
