The chunin shinobi awaited for the arrival from the new academy student waiting to become a Genin. Coughing lightly the man shook his head for a bit before pulling a scroll from his pouch before reading over the requirements needed in order to pass the test. Sighing heavily, "Why am i in charge of dealing with this person of all things...I could be at home resting and enjoying my day off." Leaning against the tree's trunk with the wind blowing across the field lightly. The sun was just in the center of the sky making it seem like it was going to be a hot day but actually it was a cool day allowing the wind to be gentle and the sun's rays to be just the right temp for a nice nap. Pulling the bandana over his eyes to slightly relax the shinobi was about to pass out for a bit until the academy student shows up.

It was about time!!
Enja had received the news that finally the academy was back in session but because of the prolonged waiting, he was allowed to attend the first exam to become Genin. During the time things been too quiet, he had trained and practiced his physical and chakra powers as much as he could. He still didn't know any powerful jutsu, but armed with a katana, he could do some decent damages.
It depended on the nature of the exam in the end. He spent a good night studying and reviewing things. Little did the exam proctors of the academy know that Enja had a bit of help from the last person they would want. But he kept that a secret for now.
He recognized some of the members of the academy there, but none too happy to be there. Enja however could burst from excitement, glad to finally attempt the exam. Still, he kept calm and a confident face.
He waited in line in the field as the Chunin instructor waited them. With a smirk, Enja punched his palm, ready and rearing to go!

Appearing swiftly behind the one one that had punched his palm, The chunin shinobi leaned over only to keep his eyes covered saying softly,
"You seem to be in a very good mood or are you scared that the best way to release fear is to head into it."
The shinobi lifted up only to smile at the young person while everyone was watching carefully. "Its a pleasure to meet you all honestly, I wish to show you all a few things of mine. First the blade on my right side is known as the blade of silence, it cannot cut but it can perform a very useful form of damage. Now in order to pass this exam you have to be able to survive a battle against me and my blade. There is thirty of you here...so let's see what you all can do."
Keeping his eyes covered he vanished once more only to appear in an open field from the students to see how they would come after him.

Enja was waiting patiently, as the proctors gazed at the students. One of which locked eyes with Enja. He didn't pay much mind to him-- till he was suddenly behind him a blurr. His words did surprise him, but he didn't react physically.
He was used to a certain old, muscle bound ninja popping up behind him and surprising him. He had grown out of yelping at that . Slowly, Enja his head to the shinobi and flashed him a wolfish grin. "Huh? I don't know," he replied, still smoldering with confidence that spoke for itself. "I'll let you know when I ace this exam."
Perhaps arrogant, but Enja had trained relentlessly even during the degenerated state of the academy. He worked hard without any real guidance-- well till he met his sensai. Now that things were back in full swing, he was now extra prepared. There was no doubt he was going to pass this.
As the shinobi discussed the exam, ENja listened carefully. The job so far was to attack and survive a battle with the proctor and his training weapon. He was still unsure just what that blade would do.
It was then and with those few instructions that it all began. Enja drew out his katana and held it ready. He would of jumped in and started as his blood boiled for battle.
But he didn't.
First he needed to know just how his enemy would fight and how his weapon operated. Realizing he could see this as a battle royal pretty much on many vs. one, he chose to keep his blade ready, observe and wait. He would let the lesser students test the waters for him.
(Waiting now, watching proctor fight other students to analyse the fight, and prepared to react if attacked)

A few of the students had stayed back while the rest came rushing into the battle dodging their attacks gracefully as though he was dancing on the battlefield. Softly pressing off the ground with a bit of dust kicking up into the air as he pushed off the chunin was showing his martial combat as he knocked a few out with a slight touch from his hands to their body.
"Hmm...not strong enough it seems."
The eyes on the young man was still covered with his black hair going to his waist but a white line down the center of his hair. Something about the man did not seem off yet seemed like it was a game that was being played with everyone. The test was now starting to become serious as only twenty kids remained and the blade was still not pulled for battle.
"So, who's next?"

This was difficult, in the sense it was not working out as Enjin had hoped. Others had indeed had the same thing on their mind: wait and see what happened to others. Caution was too the wise. However the proctor only attacked with only his hands and never used his sword yet.
It seemed the proctor also knew the importance of concealing his abilities and knew the others would learn from him.
Enja gritted his teeth angrily. He very much wanted to fight and charge in, his hand squeezing the hilt of his short katana. Still, he knew it would be too dangerous to rush in blindly. But he did have an idea. If melee was too dangerous, he could attack from range.
He now leaned lower, holding his katana skillfully, the blade parallel to his arm's length. As he did, he slowly reached for his pouch behind his hip.
Drawing out a small kunai, he figured he could throw it at the proctor. If he could throw him off slightly, it would either make an opening for another person to try and push their luck, or he would actually use his sword to block!
He threw the kunai, speeding for him! As he did, he began to make his way closer , stepping out of the safety of the other students waiting but keeping on guard. If this failed, he would have no choice. He would have to risk going into uncharted waters.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained as Augus said...
(251 words) (Dex is 72 presently, Kunai does 10 damage)

Feeling the field carefully watching everyone's movement with a quick glance the playing field was already set it was as if the foresight of this chunin was a bit different than average chunin of the shinobi world. As he finished with a halting stop locking in the count of remaining students he had. The light voice mumbled under the wind before on, "who was next."
This set the tone for the next section of the test, the wind started by blowing heavily pushing the kunai that was coming towards him within the wind current of the tornado that was starting to form. Suddenly the wind was curving around everyone only to pull back at the chunin now was floating slightly above the ground with the air bending around his ankles and wrists as though they were shackles.
"Now, the next lesson is Ninjutsu...this is called, Fuuton - Kihan (Shackles)" Leaning over to pick up the kunai that had came brushing back to the chunin. The grip reminded him of his times during his survival test. Laughing loudly he could not help but to get in a strange stance that was in the form of a defensive line men in football. He burst off only to have the ground rip up as he came to a complete stop with the kunai aimed at one of the student who was suddenly blasted by the wind sending him flying across the ground.
"Hmm, at least you all knew what you were getting involved into lucky you all have the medical team here to watch over you all." Smiles only with his eyes still covered the look could not be expressed at all by anyone but himself. With the swiftness of the wind by his side the next five students were taken out only then did he fell from the air like a celestial being striking justice into the unholy.
"Seems only...fourteen of you remaining. Question is are you scared or will you face fear with a strong arm." he turned his head slowly as though he was eyeing everyone only to stop at the one student whom had a katana holding tightly even after releasing a kunai trying to get the chunin to pull his blade out.
(Dex is 160 to give you an idea, The technique is not listed, but increases one's DEX.)

Enja had been one to throw the Kunai to test his enemy's power and yet-- the man had more tricks. If this was a test for rookies, this guy had no intention to let everyone pass. he really was trying his best to demoralize and weaken the resolve of the students. And he did a big job of it when he released fuuton! The sweeping wind had caused a massive gale that nearly threw Enja off his guard and flip head over heels.
He dug his feet into the ground and leaned into the wind. He kept his sword out in case his enemy threw his kunai back. However, he just held it suspended by the wind.
He now gave a choice to the remaining 14 students. "You scared or will you face fear with a strong arm." he said.
Enja gripped his sword and glared at the enemy. The time was now to act. Fear was only a motivator-- and drove one to push their limits. He wouldn't let fear force him to retreat. He had the strength and power. He would not fail. It was not an option for him.
"Take a guess..." he growled to himself... and to answer the shinobi, he took off and charged for him!
Enja quickly moved from left to right, keeping his movements hard to track as he ran forward! He kept his blade in front of him, prepared to parry any projectile the proctor would throw at him! He kept a firm eye on the shinobi's movement. Aslo he felt the direction of the wind. If he worked with the wind and chose his timing, he could use the proctor's own wind jutsu to his own advantage!
Now coming for the attack, Enja threw once again another kunai, this time to create an opening for him in some way or to distract the proctor. As he did, he now drove foreward with a thrust of his sword for him--
but he also prepared another method, if blocked, he would jump and deliver a spinning kick to the proector, aiming to strike near the head.
(Short katana is 25 damage. Also using melee kick if sword and kunai is blocked. Also aiming to try and use wind direction to aid kick or create ways of moving around safely towards proctor)

Everything seemed to calm for the moment as the small burst of wind blew the field of grass away having the young students left still but only a few still having the burning will to strike at the chunin. It was nothing really as the attacks would any of them would be useless to him. Thinking about it with a slight crack of a smirk break across his face from center to the left side of his cheek. The chunin watched as one of the students started moving towards him moving swiftly to the right and left.
It was the one that he wanted to really test. Something about him was a bit different but it amazed him as he was trying to cause the chunin to lose track of the boy's movements. 'This is child's play...the movements are easy to see with my eyes.' As the boy was nearing the chunin only to see something coming at him the chunin kept his smirk.
"You know... that will not work on me!" yelled the chunin. From the distances a medical shinobi was standing watching carefully but sighed heavily only to say under their breath, "he used that technique again..." another one was puzzled only to ask a question. "What do you mean that technique sir?" The young medical was new to the field but the senior explained the techniques rules. As the chunin was about to make his move.
The senior medical shinobi stated, "You see, fuuton is like a blade in some cases, so he created a technique that uses that power to its highest point. Instead of the blade going one way he has it going in two different directions. One half spinning right and the other half spinning left or visa versa...this gives him the nickname, Blade of Silence because you may be able to feel the wind but its cause he's allowing it like the wind brushing from a blade as it cuts through the air. But a straight attack like that he'll just blow back and send you flying with the thin layer of wind you cannot see with a naked eye." The other medical shinobi was shocked turning to view the damage. Yet only could question, "Can...a chunin rank really create such a powerful technique..."
The chunin watched carefully as the kunai came at him slowly, without flinching the blade would bounce before making contact as wind is blowing around him that it pushes it off. The invisible field of air was a perfect defense but it was soon seeing the katana coming at him with the blade meeting with the wind but only clashing with one another. Flipping as the student would try delivering a kick to him. Sliding back as the wind around his ankles was keeping him afloat lightly.
"Not bad... you execute a well plan, however my fuuton isnt just for show boy, I trained and studied to make sure it was ready for battles and missions like so."
(I like the execution of the tactic you had, but i figured what kind of fuuton you are dealing.)

(Sorry but I couldn't help it. This demands Minato music for fast action )
Enja was fortunate that he was not already out of the fight by risking an attack on the shinobi. Others had tried and failed. He wanted to understand his opponent before charging in blindly. He was a hot-tempered person. He knew that well... but he was no fool.
However, melee combat was not really getting him anywhere as his both sword strike and responcive kick was in fact blocked, and aided by the shinobi's wind style jutsu.
Damn it, why didn't I take the time to learn a Katon Jutsu?! Enjin thought as he listened to the proctor's 'praise-slash-taunt'. "Don't pat yourself on the back just yet. I am just getting started!" ENja shouted and flipped back!
It was common for a shinobi to utalize either taijutsu or a sword of somekind. Never both. It was odd how Enja would use the sword for his main attack, and follow it up with blows from his arms and legs. It was clear he had been practicing on his own without others' guidance, allowing him to develop a style of his own making.
However, as powerful as a physical combat was, he had to overpower the fuuton of his opponent first.
He now moved around, trying to keep his opponent from simply hitting him by standing still. He had to keep moving or be a sitting duck. As he did, he observed the feel and direction of the winds around him. He couldn't see it, but one thing did give it away. The proctor's movements!
If the winds were indeed blades, he might have a way to deal with them. The proctor's own movements. He was using the wind to aid in his physical evasions, and that meant the wind had to move to support it!
He moved in for another charge. He charged in the same way, leading with a stab from his sword-- however as he was about to stroke, he took notice to the wind . With a sudden pivot of his body, he beared his blade and struck in the direction against the wind! The sword attack was not meant to strike the proctor, but to create force and friction against the wind itself. And perhaps... just perhaps... he could very well neutralize the spinning 'blade of air' that he could not see by creating force against it of his own.
After that, assuming his action worked, he let the sword go as it would be thrown to his left. Pivoting on his heel, he turned to the other direction, and in mid air grasped his sword with his other hand! The same twist and jive he spun and struck int he other direction, against the wind as well.
The action was a matter of seconds, and still, he kept his guard up to his proctor, determined to strike back.
If the opening was still there, after he struck the two directions of the wind-- he followed with a strong punch with his right, to strike him in the face!
