Genin Survival Test

Enja was fortunate that he was not already out of the fight by risking an attack on the shinobi. Others had tried and failed. He wanted to understand his opponent before charging in blindly. He was a hot-tempered person. He knew that well... but he was no fool.

However, melee combat was not really getting him anywhere as his both sword strike and responcive kick was in fact blocked, and aided by the shinobi's wind style jutsu.

Damn it, why didn't I take the time to learn a Katon Jutsu?! Enjin thought as he listened to the proctor's 'praise-slash-taunt'. "Don't pat yourself on the back just yet. I am just getting started!" ENja shouted and flipped back!

It was common for a shinobi to utalize either taijutsu or a sword of somekind. Never both. It was odd how Enja would use the sword for his main attack, and follow it up with blows from his arms and legs. It was clear he had been practicing on his own without others' guidance, allowing him to develop a style of his own making.

However, as powerful as a physical combat was, he had to overpower the fuuton of his opponent first.

He now moved around, trying to keep his opponent from simply hitting him by standing still. He had to keep moving or be a sitting duck. As he did, he observed the feel and direction of the winds around him. He couldn't see it, but one thing did give it away. The proctor's movements!

If the winds were indeed blades, he might have a way to deal with them. The proctor's own movements. He was using the wind to aid in his physical evasions, and that meant the wind had to move to support it!

He moved in for another charge. He charged in the same way, leading with a stab from his sword-- however as he was about to stroke, he took notice to the wind . With a sudden pivot of his body, he beared his blade and struck in the direction against the wind! The sword attack was not meant to strike the proctor, but to create force and friction against the wind itself. And perhaps... just perhaps... he could very well neutralize the spinning 'blade of air' that he could not see by creating force against it of his own.

After that, assuming his action worked, he let the sword go as it would be thrown to his left. Pivoting on his heel, he turned to the other direction, and in mid air grasped his sword with his other hand! The same twist and jive he spun and struck int he other direction, against the wind as well.

The action was a matter of seconds, and still, he kept his guard up to his proctor, determined to strike back.

If the opening was still there, after he struck the two directions of the wind-- he followed with a strong punch with his right, to strike him in the face!

The battle was becoming more interesting towards the young chunin only to him did he know the true purpose of everything as to what he was doing. Taking into calculation of how long the jutsu had been constantly spinning around his ankles and wrists. As the passing time was going onward taking into view of the incoming attacks it seemed like the same pattern though slightly tilting his head. It was not until the moment finally came that sparks were coming from his eye sockets.

'The blood in me is sparking for excitement...this is the power of a Hiraishin!' Seeing it clearly of the incoming attack the chunin was able to notice the blade was taking a different path. Quickly spinning the wind in one fluid motion the blade made contact only to be pushed out quicker than what was thought. As no friction was not being caused as the blade was going according to the flow of wind now. The caused the wind to suddenly shift causing a burst of air pushing off one another pushing the chunin to the ground because of the violent shift.

This would cause the next attempt of the attack to miss because of the force pushing the chunin to the ground his back. After which the technique had disperse causing just a large burst of wind. With the medical team moving in closer to check on the wounded as the senior one would yell out, "That's enough!"

Walking over to the Chunin the medical senior personally leaned over to pick up the chunin slowly saying, "Very good student, you did well against him...but you should know that the test was to see how many could last against this opponent in battle." Soon movement had been felt as the chunin picked himself up from being carried saying lightly, "I may be bleeding and tired but that does not mean i'm through with the test what do you think?" It was true the chunin was bleeding from the ankles and wrists because the wind may not seem like it to the opponent because its being covered by the gusts.

But the wind shackles live up to the name of an actual pair shackles by cutting into the skin over time the wind's razor blades start slicing at the ankles and wrist after use of it. The senior medical glanced over at the chunin as he was shaking from the blood lost. The other students had all been blown back from the gust of wind only left confused for a moment. Keeping the bandana over his eyes still the sparks had vanished as suddenly as they had came.

Enja did not forsee the proctor using his own wind control to actually force himself DOWN towards the ground. That allowed him to evade the blow to the head, and further, the very gust of the wind had in fact released a powerful shockwave that blew many students outward! Many were sent tossed into the air or tumbled onto their backs!

Feeling the sense of the air, Enja quickly drew up his blade as he was flipped head over heels. Before he could make another flip, he took his sword and stabbed it into the ground! He felt his arm jerk at the sensation as he was pushed against the blast. Still, he other hand gripped the nearby grass and he anchored himself to the ground as best as he could till it finally subsided. He was likely the closest one to the shinboi that had blew them away.

Enja looked at the proctor and saw that he had been wounded by his own jutsu. Idiot... why in the hell would he use a jutsu that would put his body at risk over an exam?? Talk about overkill... he thought as he felt it was safe to let go and get up. He tugged the sword from the ground and looked to the medical ninja helping the proctor. This was ironic as it was the students who usually needed the medical attention.

The medical ninja said the nature of the exam to see how long each person lasted, however, the proctor seemed paticularly eager to continue.

Enja had a sense of pride too. "Excuse me, can I say something? " Enja said to the medical ninja  that answered them. "Not that I wouldn't mind the passing grade so soon, but i have no qualms about continuing the exam if 'sparky' here is up for it."

Some of the students looked to him with irritation, but some would agree... if the proctor deemed the test not over, it was not over. "I wouldn't mind continuing the fight-- though I do feel bad to kick a guy while he's down. I mean there is no honor in a fighting someone who is injured at the start," Enja said, using the the back of the sword to lightly scratch his cheek in habit.

Point was, he felt he could of win if the enemy had not done a jutsu that had caused him to injure himself.

+ Being called an "idiot" by the student set fine with the chunin because the powers of a strong jutsu is always at a price glancing at him carefully, the chunin could only answer.

"Yes, I may be an idiot, pushing to the limits of everyone beyond fear is what must be done during an exam. For the real battles you all would have been killed, if anything and also if the technique was really pushed then you would have killed yourself in the battle. Those that are out cold have failed the exam and will return the remaining will pass though."

+ As the chunin was willing to continue to push himself to the limits of his body. He knew stopping was really the only option he had left. The medical senior turned to glance at the weaken exam chunin before shaking his head to say, "Well..." Before he could finish a flash of light sparked behind the field. As the light was dimming down a figure appeared before everyone turning their head carefully reviewing the field. They held a book as they started writing with in, the figure only had a figure of an hourglass but the chest size was perfect for any female to handle without problems. The hair of the female's hair was mix of blonde and red running up into a pony tail that was tied by a black ribbon.

+ Even the pony tail ran down till the waist of the female. Her height was only 5'10 from the looks of it but it was not the features that got some of them. It was the eyes, her eyes were that of diamond, sharp to cut anyone or anything down. The color matched as they were sky's color but it seems she only added to her beauty with her glasses that were plain with a black frame. As she finished she walked over with business on her mind if anything. Taking a look over at the chunin only to sigh heavily placing her left hand on her forehead saying, "I cannot believe you...using that technique after all you worked for, I understand the morals and code you live by but Ryu Hideko using that technique and the eyes of our fallen is hard enough on you."

+ The Chunin's name was revealed and the medical senior knew of it before raising his hand, "Sorry madam, please understand I was watching him carefully be he do not strain himself with the use of the techniques I promise." She soon turned her attention over towards the medical senior cutting him off as though she did not even care about his input. "Did...I tell you to talk..." Turning her attentions over to the student whom was standing out of the others she sighed even harder than before. "I cannot believe this...and you did it with this so called student... that is just sad..." Pushing her glasses up slowly with a glare coming off. "Well seeing as he's somewhat the only one standing this test is over for one I was told by the Raikage to conclude it and two because the condition of the examiner. The rest of you weaklings can get up and be ready for class and failure will mean no more being a shinobi for any of you. As for you Hideko...do not push yourself again...I told you before...I do not like weak husbands." She began walking off before leaning over to get ready to vanish.

Things were calming down as Enja huffed. Looking around, he could see that others were out cold but it was a surprise to him that he was the only one standing. Seemed all that training during his free time had paid off as the others were all knocked out and very well could be demoralized for life. He would of hoped that maybe a few others would pass the exam but... him alone?

Perhaps he did underestimate just how hard the academy exam would be!

However, after the words from the proctor-- someone appeared in a flash! Standing by the proctor was a rather beautiful woman-- a kunoichi no doubt from the same village as she looked at the surrounding people. Enja couldn't help but stare in amusement and interest. Whoh...She's hot, Enjin THOUGHT as he observe her looking around. She had a very appealing body, and lovely hair that reached down her back. Her glasses were a nice touch too. However, her very presence alone commanded respect of the other shinobi around her.

Enja didn't know her but it was clear she was a ninja of high standing among the Cloud.

It was then that he found the Chunin's name. Ryu! Enja nearly felt the sudden urge to fall backwards! "Wait Ryu?! The Instructor from the academy I attended?!" Enja shouted-- he had not recognized him! Perhaps he was in disguised or he really changed in those months-- he had noticed it was the same person.

And he mouthed off to him... the same guy who scared the crap out of the other students before...

Enja felt a sudden sense of dread of what the Shinobi could do to him if he held a personal grudge now

It was then that she gave the orders now, and pretty much demasculated Ryu's authority by telling them all the exam was over. Enja felt a bit dumbfounded-- including when she went and said he was a 'so called student'. THat just hurt.

I take it back... She's ice cold, Enja thought again, realizing how demanding she was. ANd she was Ryu's wife?! Besides the clearly mature jokes he could lash at the both of them, he kept quiet. Still, she was attractive all the same.

"Um, I beg your pardon, miss," ENja said, his tone more polite to her upon respect to gain her attention. "So I can assume correctly? I have passed the academy exam?" he asked, now hoping for a truly straight forward answer.

Could he grow as a ninja in terms of Kumo allowed?

+ It was then shouting was heard from the shinobi as everyone had turned their attention on to him. The chunin sighed lightly saying with a smile on their face.

"No my real name is Ryu Hideo, the thing is my last name is Ryu. Sorry for that confusion if anything however my friends like to make fun of me and call me. Hideko..."

(Pausing to explain... Hideko means (splendid child) however its actually a female name, the reason they call Hideo (Splendid Male) that is because the actually design of him, he's voice is soft and gentle like a female so he's seen as a female more then a man. As well Ryu is actually his surname on the site I have it the same as the culture, last, then first name. + Hearing the light voice from the student, the lovely female turned to push her glasses up before shaking her head side to side. "If you have to ask such a stupid question then I guess not." After which she turned only to vanish the same way she came. Standing Hideo turned his attentions over to the young academy student before saying,

"You should be more careful to what you ask of her, she's serious but loving in her own way. You did pass however because I'm the examiner and not her."

+ Bowing to the newly ranked Genin the examiner turned his attentions over to the medical senior whom was already having the rest picked up by others after being healed.

+ "Do you have any questions?" The chunin asked to the Genin.

Naturally the woman was cold as ice, but still she was very beautiful. He kept his adulterated thoughts locked up and knew if he ever did voice them... it would be the end of him in likely the most brutal and gruesome of fashion.

However as she left with such a sharp answer that could of meant he shoudln't of asked... he was told otherwise. he let out a sigh of relief as he heard the proctor. "I understand, thank you." Enja replied and despite the rather sharp words and zings that flew during the actual combat, he bowed in respect to him.

Anyone who had to endure a wife like that and still love her-- likely-- was probably a war hero overall.

But it was done... he was now a Genin. FInally! After all his hard work to train to this point on his own, he got the chance to make it as a ninja. A weight was lifted from his shoulders, but now he knew he was another step closer to obtaining the power he so desired.

Upon being asked if he had any questions, he just shook his head. "My only question is perhaps will I be set up to another squad ? I hope to get started as soon as possible," he said, showing serious earnest towards becoming a ninja.
