Burn Baby Burn (SOLO Training : Katon X1, Chakra Control X1 + Reward Dice)

The next day after his little venture into the dust roads outside of the earth nation, Asura went back to his journey to master fire. Master ROku had been there before and took interest to what Asura had been up to in the past day-- but Asura merely just shook it off. But one thing was clear. Asura's skills as a ninja had improved drastically. He now had a basic understanding of academy jutsu, which was odd since things had been not active at the academy. It shocked both Asura and Roku how Iwa had neglected academy exams and the training of the next generation of ninja, especially after the trouble the Akatsuki have caused.

It was up to Roku and he took extra pride and responsibility to see the generation of the Jiin rose to greatness.

"Remember," Roku instructed Asura, who was standing before the dummy in front of him. "The Power of fire comes from the breath. " As he spoke, he took a stance. "The energy in your body comes to your lungs, then extend that energy to your limbs or mouth and it emerges as fire."

Asura was in his breathing exercise. He was having a hard time trying to understand the principle of breathing and the use of fire. He had his eyes close as he focused, trying to bring the principle of fire to his breathing. However, so far the luck was not coming to him.

After a bit of time, Roku clapped his hands to get Asura's attention. "Alright, Asura. Let's try something else." he said as he gestured to the the training dummy and the trees beside him. "YOu are doing good with your breathing, but now for the real trick. Fire indeed comes from the breath, but what do you think allows a ninja to actually create fire or any element for that matter?"

This was a simple question as he did study it. "ONe's chakra, right?" he answered.

"That is HALF- right," Roku explained as he gestured to his hand. Once more, he conjured a fireball that hovered above his palm. "LIke anything, fire requires a spark. What one does is allow their own chakra to act like a spark. But how do we allow our chakra to take on any kind of shape?"

Asura gave it some thought... but sadly he didn't understand. Seeing this, Roku continued. "For you to truly wield fire or any jutsu properly, you need to have a sense of control over your own chakra. This takes great focus and control, but with enough pratice, controlling your own chakra's energy will become second nature."

"But can't I already do that?" Asura asked, not understanding it. "I mean using hand signs and energy for combat, I have control over chakra already or I wouldn't be able to use any jutsu."

"NO," Roku said with a firm tone, proving Asura wrong and causing the guy to step back a bit. "You have not even scratched the surface of your chakra's true potential. Anyone can do a few hand signs and force chakra up but to use it wisely is to moderate how much chakra you put into a technique."

"Your explosion clones for instance. That type of jutsu, requires a set amount of chakra in each clone to create the resulting explosion. If you put in too much, the explosion is too strong, too little the clone may not even come out right or worse the explosion won't happen at all. To truely make the most out of a jutsu, you must master chakra control in its most powerful states. "

Asura didn't realize chakra was more complex than he thought. "Alright... so how do i do that, and how will it result in my ability to wield fire jutsu?" he asked.

Roku smirked. "You climb a tree..."

"EH?" Asura replied.

"Climb a tree--- but the only rule is no hands. You are going to focus chakra to your feet and use it to cling to a tree. " he explained. "WIth that, he approached a tree and did exactly that. With one foot, he soon now stood upon the tree and soon was now horozontal-- as if gravity had no effect on him at all!

Asura looked in surprise to see his master pull that off. "Its rather difficult because it involves moving your chakra to a point of your body. Your freet are the hardest area to focus chakra also. FOr this exercise, you are going to take a running start for a tree and attempt to climb it. Mark your way up to see how far you get. Remember, to focus on the tree. "

Asura looked past the dummy and saw the tree ahead of him. Taking a moment, he made a hand sign and focused his chakra to the soles of his feet! "Here I go..." He said and took off running. He quickly ran for the tree and attempted to run up. He kept the chakra to his feet, and felt it cling to the tree like chewing gum.

However... half way up gravity took over. His footing lifted off the tree and he began to fall!

"WAAAAAAAAH!!!!" THUD!

Asura landed flat on his back in a rather embarrassing display of his chakra control. He cleary had not been using much in his lifetime. It was like swimming after several years of not doing it. The muscles were not adept to it.

"Keep trying, Asura. You'll get it soon enough," Master Roku said as he jumped off the tree, flipped and landed back on the ground in a crouch of his robes. He knew it would be time before Asura understood how to adapt Katon with the concepts of CHakra Control. Regardless, they were all vital to the growth of a ninja.
