Solid as a Rock! (Academy Exam to Genin)

- Triplets no, it was something far worse that even that. As they had attacked but something was strange enough as well from the outside. The figure that the shurikens that were thrown had seem to doing a battle with this young man however it was not until one of them turned to notice something, "Hey...why is it that guy is there..." Pointing another person was hiding in the shadows carefully not moving or saying a word something was off in the battle as he whispered into his wrist. Soon the third figure missed the attack as the boy vanished only to smile saying to himself, "Body Flicker...really scared I wonder."

It was not until the person closed their eyes letting the other finish the battle but they gathered together only to move in a straight line only then one jumped into the air and the other attacked but the third one was gone completely unknown to everyone as the students even turned to look over confused as well. -

The two doubles of the proctor were running right for both Asura bodies. There was no real way to tell which one was which. One was a clone no doubt, or an illusion at best--

but now the proctor was about to get a surprise when he would reach the first one.

As the first one attacked the first Asura, the two would collide and likely the Proctor would attack as Asura would try to hit with his sword.... however that was a mistake as they impacted...

KABOOOM!! A violent explosion ripped apart at the ground that sent a gust of hot air in every direction. Even Master Roku from the sidelines guarded himself from the shock. The students would wonder too what was going on.

It was a confusing turn of events-- and soon the second proctor double would attack the second Asura. It would be very likely that this was the real Asura. He had tried to use this clone jutsu to throw his enemies off guard and attack from behind after using Body Flicker. The other one attacked and the two clashed---

Wrong again.

KABOOOM!!!

The second proctor double was hit by the explosion, causing the students to shout and scream at the violent explosions so close to them.

Roku smirked form the sidelines. "Asura's signature-- the Explosion Clone Jutsu. They are perfect for drawing out an enemy and dealing damage to them at the same time. " he commented, knowing how well Asura was using such an advance concept of 'shadow clones'. Ironically the use of actual shadow clones was a skill he did not know or possess. This one came naturally to him.

However, now Asura AND the other proctor was nowhere to be seen. Asura was indeed hidden somewhere but was not visible just yet. He was around hiding.

Only thing among the field was the clouds of debris and smoke from the body flicker and explosion clones.

- The two figures would have pulled their body armor around them protecting them from the explosion only to land after the second explosion the other would come shaking the dirt from his head before turning smiling wondering what that was all about before the first instructor turned to see the third one yawning before taking a step forward. 'That would have been horrible if we did not get the information from him...thought I hate how he is able to tell what's going on sometimes.' The shadow figure could only release a smirk before they let it vanish as they continued to watch the battle.

All three instructors would gather together looking around the field once more before relaxing their bodies to have the earth like armor fall from their skin showing bare. -

The three proctors were both gathering and conversing with one another. The more this happened, the more it seemed to Asura that they were not clones but three individual people. Triplets by the looks of them. Either that or the clones really did act like brothers. Regardless, Asura was waiting for the right postiion to strike. He had seemingly used Body Flicker and clones to escape attack. However, as the three proctors gathered closer to where he had once flickered from...

... they didn't realize he hid in the smoke of his own handiwork.

He had never left! He had used body flicker to evade the initial attack, but it was his clone that had moved further away. He had remained hidden in the cover of the smoke of his own explosions and waited for the right time to strike.

Their armor was down and their guard lower. Gathered all together, he could do it. He was going to use his ace in the hole and wipe them out in one shot.

From his cover, he weaved the two hand signs, ending with 'tiger' and breathed in. He gathered his chakra to his lungs, remembering the wisdom Master Roku had gave him and got read.

"Fire Style: FIREBALL JUTSU!!" he roared and released his breath, causing fire to come out of his mouth!

At most, the Fireball Jutsu was a set strength-- growing no bigger than the size of a grown man in height. However, this one did not. It was 1/2 bigger than a regular fire style Fireball. Emerging from the smoke, it would shoot for the 3 proctors.

There were two reasons for this: One, Asura possessed his Shinkou-- a rare crafted sword that not only gave him stronger edge in battle but actually enhanced Katon style techniques. Finally, it was one of the things that made Asura so talented. His Kekkei Genkai! The Jiin clan possessed the power over fire, to enhance and wield fire better than anyone else. A basic jutsu like this, would become far stronger in the hands of such a ninja from that clan.

The fireball grew in size and soon impacted where the three proctors were gathered-- unarmored and in one place.

- All three of them would stand until seeing the fire ball coming at them. As they saw the technique traveling at them. Each one smirked only to see a water ball basically put out the flames that had came over towards them. Only to appear before the young boy on the battle field was the one hiding in the shadows. "Its a pleasure to meet you, I'm Mibu Kyo...I'm on of the advisers for the Tsuchikage. I must say, you are very interesting for a Jiin Clan member." Smiling it was odd for him to join into the battles unless something was up. "Ladies and Gentlemen on behalf of the Tsuchikage, the battle has been concluded for today!" The instructors each glared at him with an evil look before he returned on back at them. The man known as Kyo was a dark haired male but the funny thing was he was only the height of a 14 year old child. "I may be small and little but I've lived longer than you can guess."

The instructors ran over wondering what was happening before questioning anything, "Listen...all of you the Tsuchikage has explained to me of things that needed to be taken care off that means that this young man here is to come with me and continue training. If he displayed the correct attitude towards the battle and by far he's smart reminds me of that other kid." Turning his attentions over to the young Jiin boy, "You have a choice either you can come with me or you can stay and finish the fight with them. In the end you'll pass either way." -

Asura was almost certain he would of gotten a hit in. He wanted to wipe the smirk away from those three proctors' faces. The fire ball looked close-- only to be cast out by the power of the sudden water jutsu that got in the way. It put out the fireball and splashed water every which way. Asura found himself flushed out from the smoke, skidding along the ground at the sudden attack came out of nowhere.

After composing himself and back to his feet, Asura looked to hear the words from the strange person. He appeared to be a kid. He offered to go with him or stay with these guys. "Normally I would take that offer but I hate leaving a fight half way do--" But it was then that Asura got something in his mind.

He looked to the three proctors. It was strange. Too strange how they interacted. Far closer than clones but both of them resiliant. Even explosion clones he had would of destroyed other clones. So why didn't they even appear damaged....

Asura suddenly grew an annoyed look on his face, then turned to the young kid. "Don't tell me..." Asura growled, both irritated at these tree as well as himself.

The three proctors, the methods of their attacks, how they pretty much just moved about as if they were phantoms or in a dream. They didn't follow physics.

It was like they were not even there... How they moved and appeared...

"I'm an idiot..." Asura growled at himself and quickly made a hand sign. "Release!!"

He used the release jutsu on himself, using what chakra he had left to try and undo the illusion. Asura watches as the illusions soon began to ripple and fade from his line of sight to reveal the true proctor who came out of hiding.

"YOU MEAN I WAS FIGHTING ILLUSIONS THIS WHOLE TIME!? DAMNIT!!" Asura shouted, throwing a bit of a fit at both himself and the true proctor.

Watching from afar, Roku chuckled a bit, trying hard not to at Asura's little temper tantrum. "Unfortunately for Asura, the proctor exploited his greatest flaw. Asura is not so skilled against Genjutsu. A difficult test indeed," Roku replied, trying hard to not bellow in laughter.

"I can't believe this! I freaking hate mind games! Why didn't you just face me like a man!" Asura said, his pride wounded for one-- fighting against nothing but illusions and two, not having a real fight as he felt it was a more honorable test than just a trick like that.

He looked hoping to find who the real proctor was.

- Soon to appear was the man from the beginning of the test only to smirk at everyone. The students before hand were able to escape the illusion early on because of them picking up on the tactics. However others failed against the illusion as they continued to stand believing they were actually walking home. The village adviser had appeared smiling at the young boy whom finally released the technique.

"Its hard to believe you performed, Ninjutsu and did well with Taijutsu and Kenjutsu. All three were wonderful even for you the the performance was magnificent to no end. However I took the liberty to read over the data on that was gathered from the academy and came to smile and notice the flaw in you is an illusion so I had our illusion specialist come and do the exam this time. He is large man with brute force but loves to play mind games with others." The young man laughed a bit before shaking his head knowing the entire time. But the field was empty as others had left already passing the exam.

"Mister Kyo, what do you believe his rating will fall under for that? He did take a while to break out but also he did excellent in the battle as you noticed." The voice was rough that came out of the big man as he waited for the answer.

Kyo thought about it for a moment placing his finger on his chin to think. "Yes, the others did get out faster than him...but he gave such promising efforts so I guess he'll pass."

The larger man turned to also answer the questions of the young Jiin clan member. "Simple... my actual techniques cannot be used for training as they end lives more then save them." Shaking his head Kyo also agreed to that as well. "Which is why I figured it be best for him to have his genjutsu skills be used instead. The world itself is a big illusion its just trying to figure out who really controls it. Is it you or someone much much bigger. Well im off I have other meetings to go to good luck on your life Jiin!" Before long the young male vanished leaving nothing but the foot steps.

"So, with that on behave of the Iwa Shinobis and Tsuchikage, do you accept this as a battle of truth and honor for you know strength is not proven by mere force but by understanding the outcome and knowing reality?" The brute size man waited the answer from the student to see the reaction.

Asura's anger was quelled by a bit of humility now as he realized his grave error. Genjutsu was a poor area for him, as it focused soley on the mind's senses and perception. He knew HOW to release genjutsu but him catching on to the fine details of an illusion was the true problem, unless it was beyond physics. Asura had no excuse. He had fallen for the jutsu hook line and sinker.

Asura stood before them. "I... am not satisfied to learn that my actions would of normally failed this exam. But I learned my lession, sir." Asura replied.

He had been so blinded by his anger that he never saw the details that made him think the battle was indeed an illusion.

"I understand. I will strive to see the truth of my surroundings better in my battles. " Asura said, gripping his fists and once more putting his sword away. It didn't matter if he did pass the exam. His pride was wounded from this and so he didn't see this so much as a 'victory'. " I shall consider how my actions resolve and how my surroundings are affected. I am sorry for that mistake and wont repeat it in the future."

Asura was humble at this point. Watching, Roku smiled and retracted his Tengan. It seemed he knew from the start that Genjutsu was involved. Though even him was not prepared for a sound base Genjutsu. It was a bit extreme for young minds to grasp.
