A day or so later, after Yukimura had gotten his village headband, he found himself sitting on the head of Hashirama Senju: The 1st Hokage. Whenever he needed to think he would come to the statues of the Hokage and sit overlooking the village. To his right on the head of the second Hokage sporting the same white hair was Yukimura’s brother, Noboyuki.
Lord Hashirama, I don’t know if you can uh hear me right now. But I’m confused as to why I am here? In fact, the more and more I think about it, My memories seem like a blur the more and more I think about it. I feel like one day.. I just kinda-
“Showed up? Right?” Noboyuki said seemingly completing his brother Yukimura’s thought.
“You’re in my head now?” Yukimura asked looking over to his brother who was staring at him dead in the eyes. “It’s bad enough people think we’re inseparable, if they find out-“
“Relax you nut.” Noboyuki said leaping over to the head of Hashirama. He sat down and placed his right arm around the shoulder of his brother. “You mouth your words when you’re thinking. It’s a super bad habit.” Yukimura stared at his brother who played a comforter in his life and then pushed him away.
“You’re incredibly touchy feely” Yukimura said standing up to stretch. “But you have to kinda admit, some days, it feels like we were just created more than we were born. The train us like we have a specific purpose.”
“Because you do,” A voice said casually behind the boys. He was tall man with short black hair . He wore a typical leaf shinobi garb. The most notable things about him were his oddly colored green eyes and scar across his cheek.
“Minoru Sensei.” They said both bowing respectfully. From behind the man known as Minoru, Mei-Lee poked her head.
“Hey there Yukimura.” She said with a smile. Yukimura turned and faced her and immediately began to blush. Jealous that there was no greeting for him, Noboyuki interjected.
“You know I’m here to right?”
“Get Lost” Yukimura and Mei-Lee sang harmoniously. Minoru let out a laugh than jumped back a bit so that all three children could be in his view site.
“Listen kids,” Minoru began, “You all were born with a specific purpose. But one thing you all have in common with me and many other ninja in the leaf village. And that’s to protect this place with every ounce of strength you have. So if you have nothing left to fight for… fight for the village.” Minoru said. Noboyuki slammed his fist into his palm with conviction as if excited.
“You read my mind Sensei. I’m going to become Hokage, so I can protect this entire village.” Noboyuki shouted.
“Same!” Mei-Lee shouted with conviction. All eyes then followed to Yukimura who was the last to speak.
I don’t know if I have the same conviction as them. It’s not that I don’t care about the village, but the village aren’t the people who are taking care of me… I just want-“
A hand fell on the head of Yukimura.
“It’s okay” Minoru said with a smile ruffling the hairs of Yukimura, “You don’t have to protect all of the village. Just become strong enough to protect what’s closest to you. That would be Noboyuki and Mei-Lee am I right?”
“Just Mei-Lee” Yukimura responded with a laugh although he was silenced by a quick punch in the left arm by his brother.
“Dweeb.”
“Sensei Minoru, why did you want us all together?” Mei-Lee asked as the group now stood in the training field.
“Oh that’s right, I didn’t tell you. Because I worked with you kids so closely during the Academy, the village has assigned me to be your Jounin squad leader.” Minoru said rubbing his head.
