Reo walked outside Kiri. He had failed, and the failure hit him hard. It was harder than he had expected it to be. He didn’t know what to do, now. He needed to get stronger, but he also needed to get smarter. He didn’t think he was ready to defeat the dragons, but he wasn’t sure he would get ready if he went back to Suna and did the same thing over and over.

It hadn’t worked to get him past this limit before, so why would it now? Reo sighed. They had given him time off from missions. In fact, he was lucky. They had given him an indefinite amount of time off. They didn’t say how long he had until he needed to go back to Suna and do his job as a Genin.

“Maybe I should take it?” Reo said out loud as he walked. He had been warned not to walk outside this early due to some ghost story about a cursed warrior. Reo didn’t believe it, but he was beginning to think that he should have.

Fog rolled in and Reo could hear the steady thump thump thump of someone behind him.

Reo was unprepared for the glowing eyes. Fire sprang up everywhere and demons began to rampage. Reo was scared, at first. He had little experience with Genjutsu so it took him a second to recognize it for what it was. It was an incredibly powerful Genjutsu at that. Still, Reo had been taught how to break free from Genjutsu - furthermore he had been taught how to prevent it from taking hold.

"Kai!" Reo yelled as he dispelled the jutsu. [Chakra cost: 3%. Chakra left, 112% cause I just punch things] Reo knew from the way the creature's eyes glowed that this must have something to do with his eyes. So, he closed them to prevent this from happening again. He closed them and listened intently for any form of movement. He wasn't the most skilled at this type of fighting, but he could make do.

[Oh.] Reo's clones watched eagerly as he dispelled the clones. This was their chance. Reo didn't join in. He wouldn't die if the clones did. They were a scouting maneuver and if he dispelled the clones, then he needed them to scout. Ten charged forward, throwing kicks as their arms were still too burnt too effectively punch.
