[Solo]Quest: Robbery, time to play Hero!

As Inshitsu had arrived back at his apartment, he looked through the window to look at the spot where he had seen the man earlier in the day. ’If only I knew just who he was, I could have been done with this already.’ He sighed as his thoughts weren’t helping him finish the job he had received. He walked away from the window, over to the desk where he had laid the information that he had gotten from the owner and reviewed it over. The sun was starting to set before Inshitsu was leaving to find the thief and snag his reward.

The evening sky was beautiful, yet Inshitsu wasn’t seeing the beauty of nature before him. His mind was set on finding the thief that had hidden in what could qualify as a local inn. He stopped to confirm in his head that this was the right location for what could be the thief’s “hideout”. He nodded his head as started to proceed towards the door before hiding in a nearby alleyway as the thief walked out, stumbling from spot to spot. It looked as the man had gotten drunk tonight to celebrate his success, making this easier than taking candy. As the man fell down, and stopped making movement, Inshitsu sneaked over to the collapsed man’s body to see if he had the key on him. Inshitsu patted the unconscious thief’s body before feeling a metallic object within his front robe pocket. As Inshitsu reached in the pocket and retrieved the object, he realized that he had just gotten the man’s room key.

Inshitsu backed away slowly from the thief until he was at the inn door. He took a deep breath, pulled the door open, and walked in. The inn had most of the residents already in their rooms if not retreating to the warmth of a bed currently. The innkeeper’s head rose as she heard the door shut. “How may I help you, Sir?” Inshitsu had panicked a little inside, but managed to keep his face calm. “May you tell me the room of a Mister Mamushi?” The innkeeper flipped the pages of her record book, scanning the pages for the name Inshitsu had said. “It would be room 10, which up the stairs on the right.” She smiled as she told Inshitsu what he had asked for. He said,”Thanks,” as he started to go up the stairs. At the top of the stairs he could see the room 10 at the end of the hall. He ran to the room, jammed the key in lock, twisted it, and entered the room before anyone came up the stairs. He wanted to make sure no one else knew of him.

Inshitsu looked around the room to see if he had unpacked the stolen items. As he finished looking, he noticed the sack sitting next to the window, still full of the items. He smirked as he opened the window and strolled over to the loot. He attempted to lift them with one hand before realizing just how much strength he had when he nearly fell attempting the lift. He seized the bag from the bottom and slid over to the window. He took one look before simply throwing the bag through the window and hearing the loud tink of metal hitting metal. He climbed on the window sill and jumping out the window landing on the ground with a soft thud. He looked at the bag and chose to slide away with it, simply just giving up on finding a way to move it easily.

Inshitsu had collapsed on the bag outside the owner’s door with moonlight illuminating the area around him dimly. He lifted himself off the bag and knocked on the door of the owner, and tapping his foot as he could hear the movement of the residents inside. The door opened, softly this time, as the owner had stepped out and closed the door behind him. “I see that you have got my goods back.” The man looked nervous as his brow was sweating. “Yeah, so about my payment…?” Inshitsu looked deep in the man’s eyes hoping to unnerve the man of any idea about backstabbing him. “We will have to change the payment, to 3,500 Ryos, will that do it?” the man had nodded his head several times, seemingly begging for him to accept.

Inshitsu was shocked by the man’s actions due to his earlier attitude, but nodded his head and spoke, “That’ll do.” Inshitsu looked the bag wondering what could be in it as a bag of money was put into his hand. “Thank you again…?” The man stopped waiting for a name. “Sokoi Houbou.” Inshitsu spoke with a pinch of happiness of finally being able to use that name after making it sometime ago. “Ah, well thank you mister Houbou.” He nodded his head once more, and took the bag, retreating back into the house. Inshitsu tsked, “Easiest money I’ll ever make in my life.” He turned away from the shop owner’s house to return to his apartment.
