"Well since Master Roku is escorting you I guess you guys are free to go." one of the shinobi guards said to Naga. Naga took his pass from his hand and handed the other to Master Roku. Naga remembered him as Asura's teacher, however, he didn't quite remember Asura's name. "So exactly why do you need me to come with you again? And where is old what's his face" Naga asked Roku as they began their journey to an unknown minor country. Although, Roku was part of the Jiin Clan, Naga hadn't really spoken to him much or even seen him. This journey would mark the first time that these two would converse. "It's funny that you should mention Asura, because that is exactly what we are doing. We are out to try to find him. I've only heard a rumor about his last location. Its only a rumor, like I said, but it is all that we have to go on." Naga was a little shocked that Asura managed to sneak away like this, but he still didn't see how it concerned him and why he should go. "That doesn't tell me why you need me, however. I still have obligations to this village and my clan that I can not ignore, especially right now." Naga stated, in reference of him discovering that the Genius Usaso was still alive. Master Roku chuckled, "True, I figured it would do you some good to see the world. You have been stuck inside the village for so long, I think it do you some good; also I think that maybe you could be able to talk to Asura, just incase he has done anything rash? You are still being groomed to be the Clan's future leader, right?" Naga contemplated on Master Roku's words, he couldn't help but feel like the old man knew more than what he was telling, but for now that answer would have to suffice.
About an hour and half into their walk, one that uncomfortably silent, Master Roku, took notice that Naga was writing something down. Curious and attempting to break the silence that was between them, he began to ask Naga about the things that he was writing. "What exactly are you writing there young lord, if you don't mind me asking." Naga looked at Master Roku coldly, but decided that being distant wouldn't make this trip go by any faster. "If you must know, it is a book on combat strategies and tactics." Naga stated. Master Roku was surprise to find out that Naga had taken a professional interest in writing. "I have been slacking in my writing, but I figure since we are going to be traveling for quite some time that now is a better than ever to get some of it done." Naga reached in his bag and pulled out two other books that he had finished, with the addition of the was that he was almost finished with. "These have actually been done for quite sometime, I have just been too lazy to turn them into the publisher." Roku was even more impressed with what he was seeing. He had heard rumors among the Jiin Clan that Naga was beyond his years, although this was something that he really didn't take serious. Now, however, it seemed as though he would have to. "Well then, I shall let you continue onto your writing. I wouldn't want to disturb you." Roku stated in his usual polite manner. Naga then handed the two finished books to him, "Here read them, tell me what you think." Naga graciously took both books and began to read them. He was not expecting Naga to warm up to him this fast. As a matter of fact, he was assuming that it was going to be the most quiet trip he had ever taken, something that was sure to be a complete 180 from travelling with Asura. The books were not too long, and were not too short. They were pretty direct and informative at the same time. "You know, I think Asura could have learned a lot from your writings." Master Roku stated as he handed both of the books back to Naga, whom scuffed at his words. "That fool could learn a few things. I'm still in awe as to how someone like him could be a Jiin." Master Roku laughed Naga's words. It was good to see that the flames of rivalry was still burning in Naga. [768 words] - END
