Job RP Session: Stalking Kojuro part 3By the evening Chiasa’s body had recovered enough for her to resume her training. However, she was preoccupied with something else. Chiasa wore her battle skirt, something she detested, but it was lightweight and offered decent protection. She couldn’t argue against that. It was perfect for espionage and assassinations.
The evening wind blew her hair, now tied in a ponytail softly. She stood atop of an apartment complex, looking down at the streets. Eying her target, Saza Kojuro. For the time being, she would have to track him and get a feel for his routine and daily schedule. She had been tracking Kojuro for 12 hours now. This was not the most engaging part of her work; however, it was an essential element of assassinations. “He doesn’t act like someone who has been made aware of our plans.” She thought as she continued to monitor the unsuspecting teen. “I would have thought meeting up with a village official to be somewhere in his plans…” she thought to herself again. The idea of killing Kojuro still didn’t sit right with her and the lack of evidence was troubling as well, however, it wasn’t her job to find evidence. It was her job to carry out the will. She would have to trust intel gathering to her mother.
Chiasa monitored Kojuro for a few more hours before heading home. She would have to observe him for a few more days to get a more accurate feel for his routine, but for now, she had gathered enough for the day.
“Okay, so to recap of what Kojuro did tonight. At approximately 1300 he got went and got Ramen for lunch. I think it’d be safe to assume that he usually gets lunch in between 1200 and 1300. However, unless he absolutely loves Ramen, I don’t foresee him eating it every day. Around 1500 he went on chores, getting groceries, house supplies, etc. He seemed to talk to plenty of people in the village. Nothing out of the ordinary, though. They looked like regular citizens. He didn’t meet up with Oda during the surveillance, that could be an important note.” Chiasa repeated to herself as she recalled today’s events.
With her stalking mission done, Chiasa returned home. Her training with Shoji, though he promised that it would not be as physically demanding as their first training session.

“Okay, Chiasa, today’s lesson will be on Chakra Control.” Shoji explained. There were once again in the open fields where he placed her under that horrific Genjutsu. She was relieved to know that today would not be a lesson on surviving Genjutsus. “I’ve noticed that you have a cunning mind, Chiasa. I would like for us to capitalize on that intelligence of yours.”
These were kind words, however, Chiasa wasn’t one to let flattery get the best of her. “Thanks for noticing. My parents have me read at least five times a week, but what does that have to do with Chakra Control? Only smart people can control their Chakra?” She asked, somewhat impatiently.
Shoji chuckled, “Well…kinda…lemme explain.” Shoji picked up a loose leaf that came with the gust of the wind that frequently happened in the fields. “Having control over your chakra will allow you to only use the necessary amount of chakra when using a technique. Right now, I would suspect that your chakra control is so poor that you would end up exerting far more charka to use a Jutsu than required, you’d probably tire yourself out.” Chiasa couldn’t argue this. She didn’t even know that one could control their chakra. “Performing Genjutsu requires a keen mind and it also requires a helluva amount of chakra control. Do you get where I’m going with this?” Shoji asked. With the leaf held in between his middle and index finger. Chiasa shugged,
“You want to teach me some Genjutsu? I wouldn’t mind learning the one you cast on me a few days ago.” She responded back. Shoji nodded back in confirmation.
“Correct, but not just teach you some Genjutsu. I would like to guide you to becoming a Genjutsu Specialist. You already seem to have an attention to detail, you are very observable. It would a be a perfect specialization for you.” He explained.
Chiasa had figured herself to be more of a fighter with swords and Ninjutsu than Genjutsu. Possibly because most members of the Jiin clan tend to be more proficient in Ninjutsu or Taijutsu than Genjutsu. This did not upset her, however. Utilizing illusions to mask an assassination attempt was perfect. “Okay, Sensei Shoji. I will trust your guidance in this matter. When do we begin training?” She asked.
“I got to be honest, Chiasa. I wasn’t expecting you to agree with my judgment. I expected a bit of resistance and a bit of that rebellion that teenagers are known for.” Shoji chuckled.
Chiasa sighed “In case you’ve already forgotten who your only student is, I’m not like other teenagers. I see no point in rebelling against everything, it’s wasted energy. Besides…” another gust of wind passed through the fields. Chiasa noticed a few leaves being carried in the wind. She grabbed one as they flew past her. “I saw that you didn’t put down the leaf, and the way that you’re holding it…. It this essential to our training today?”
Again, Shoji was impressed with how well she could connect the dots and catch on. “Yes, as a matter of fact, it is. This is a little trick I learned while visiting the Hidden Leaf Village. By placing a leaf on their forehead, they create a point of mental focus. It’s usually taught to Academy Students, but I see nothing wrong with showing it to you as a starting point.”
Chiasa had heard strange and weird things in her life, but she’s never heard of using a Leaf to increase mental focus. However, what harm could it do to at least try it? At the very least she would get a good meditation session out of it. “Really? Is a leaf going to help me gain mental focus? Difficult to believe that Konoha produces great Ninja, but I suppose I can’t argue with results.” Chiasa placed the leaf on her forehead and began to focus on it. | 653 Words | 1047 Total Words
