Training at the Gojisou's [Open, Training]

Shao felt a bit put out as no one volunteered to fight with Rao. He looked around and saw no one else raise their hand. Shao was an eager person to prove his worth, but still part of him feared this person was probably a step ahead of him. If Kyle was here, he probably would jump right in and start the fight. That was what he lived for. Kyle was best with ninja tools and bukujutsu.

Still no one offered. Despite the whisper in his mind to not engage, Shao slowly rose his own hand up to volunteer. "I'll do it..." Shao said, expressing his willingness. "I mean, if you don't mind just a friendly duel. I have no interest for bloodshed, okay?" he explained.

Part of Shao worried how far this guy wanted to go, but at the same time, this would be a good chance for SHao to improve his Taijutsu and get some real hand on hand training of the Suna style of combat.

So he waited and let out a deep breath, prepared for anything he would get into.

Reo smiled as the newcomer volunteered to spar with him. This would be interesting. Reo was interested to see what the taijutsu of the village of the leaf looked like.

"Okay, let's have some fun, then." Reo said as he waited for Shao to take up a fighting stance. The room was quite large so there was room for their spar as well as room for everyone to train.

Once each combatant was ready, Reo took up the signature stance of the Gojisou taijutsu style and leapt forward and landed in front of Shao, throwing a massive roundhouse kick with his back leg.

Shao felt a twinge of nervousness as he stepped into the sparring circle, the others now watching with interest. A part of Shao knew he couldn't express the full extent of his powers. It would give any village info they probably didn't have, but this was a mission of trust. He could afford to use his strength. After all, it wasn't enough to just see a jutsu but to study it in fuller extent.

Putting the doubt away in his mind, Shao's confidence slowly rose to the surface and his focus sharpened. His eyes looked to Reo as he stood there in a fighting position waiting to fight. Though the fight was about to come down, Shao kept calm with his hands to his sides. He exhaled softly and focused-- the veins near his eyes sharpening up. "Byakkugan..."


He opened his eyes, and revealed the great white eyes of his clan.

It was that instant that Rao charged, moving to deliver a round house kick right for Shao...

The blow made contact-- but instead with the bulk of Shao's hand that soon rose up. With one hand behind Shao's back, he had caught the first kick with his hand alone in an open palm motion. Rao's kick was strong, no doubt about it, but Shao's senses were sharper and he caught the kick right before it could strike.

The eyes of Shao now glared with a deadly certainty. One that could read and be aware of his enemies' movements.

With a swift shift of his feet and spin, Shao pushed the kick away and tossed Rao forward in the continued trajectory of his attack. Like water, Shao had moved right around him.

When Rao would see what happen, Shao soon entered his own fighting stance-- a strange crouch low to the ground. Though not as refined as others of his clan, Shao extended his arms out-- palms open.

The fearful taijutsu of the leaf.

"The gentle fist..." Shao said calmly.

And so, Fuu got the treat of watching a sparing match between two Taijutsu specialists, the tactics seemed solid but she figured that the Genin would have the advantage in this situation. Then again Ryo was really solid, unless this 'gentle fist' had some secret thing about it that would give him an advantage. Fuu watched closely for any mistakes she could see from outside of the fight, and bounced excitedly, seemingly forgetting about her books. Live experience would be better in her opinion, plus she had the idea to come up with a game, every time Ryo took a hit she would slam her fist into her leg. Better that then letting Ryo hit her, and she might be able to actually train stuff and not just drop after taking a hit.

Reo felt the man’s hand catch his kick. That was amazing in and of itself. Sure, those strange veiny eyes of his could probably track the kick but to catch it? That took power and Power was Reo’s clan’s specialty.

Then, Shao shifted weight and Reo went flying. Reo, practiced as always in taijutsu, landed on the training dummy’s shoulders after back flipping through the air.

Shao crouched low and said something about gentle fist, but Reo paid that no mind. It was a spar, he didn’t need to spend too much time observing. Besides, Reo was tired from training before this fight. He had been in this room all day basically.

So, Reo jumped off the training dummy and flew towards Shao. In midair, Reo pulled his leg up to act as if he was going to round house kick with his left leg, but he twisted at the last moment, driving his right leg forward again for a roundhouse kick.

Shao felt oddly calm, in the heat of battle. His Byakkugan... it seemed to pulse with the sudden veins that stretched his awareness. He would of thought it would hurt but he gotten used to it-- and now he could see everything. It was odd, his line of sight now expanded to 100 meters, in nearly 360 degrees. It was as if he wasn't looking at the person but looking above himself and everyone around him. As if he was an eye in the sky-- and yet aware of his position.

He stopped as he saw the incoming assault as the eager Rao charged, attempting another kick, but the flow of battle seemed to slow as he soon saw the incoming secondary attack.

A calm breath flowed from him-- as his chakra surged. He could see it all. Especially the attacker's chakra network. Its flow was as telling as a book. His chakra surged faster, as he moved his arms-- and soon it flowed outward from all over his body.

"Eight Trigrams..." Shao breathed, visualizing the divining trigram seal below him. The space for the Hyuuga that could anticipate and strike from anywhere... For a short moment, time almost seemed to stop-- and then Shao made his move.

"ROTATION!" Shao entered a vicious spin of his body, and the push of his own chakra moved him. The sudden spin caused a discharge of chakra-- like a whirlwind from his own motion.

Rao's surprise kick struck the momentum of the chakra, but didn't move through it. He was caught and the rotation's sheer momentum was enough to dislodge him further. The spin merely pushed Rao away, throwing him well backwards and into a nearby wall-- and crash into a basket of training tools nearby.

Shao soon slowed down and dragged his extended leg out-- the moment now to a hault. On the ground, small grooves were in place around Shao-- the rotation having caused a light wear to it as if a sand storm had smoothed over it.
