Kori, for her part, decided that she must not be working hard enough. She continued to channel Fuuton in one hand as she whipped out a wooden Shuriken and threw it against a tree. It caught and sunk in with the force of the blow.

Amazingly, she managed to maintain the Fuuton chakra while she did so. She had never managed to do that properly before. Maybe she was getting better with her Fuuton control.

Kori swung her hands around, throwing another Wooden Kunai and marveling at how she was able to maintain the Fuuton Chakra. Since when did she have this ability? It was so amazing! Well, she always knew she could use Fuuton but to maintain it like this? She even…yes, she could even manipulate how much she was pouring in.

Practice was paying off. While continuing to manipulate Fuuton in one hand, Kori switched to manipulating Suiton in the other. She had to focus intently on the water to keep it from dissipating, but she was able to hold it slightly.  She would be a proper Junpaku Kunoichi after-all.

Kori let the futon die in her hand. She absentmindedly tossed another kunai. She had the futon down, but the suiton was still giving her trouble. Let alone the possibility of combining them into Hyouton or Ice chakra. It seemed near impossible for her.
 
Yet she had to try. Kori glanced at her hand and gasped. She had been maintaining a little bit of suiton chakra in her hand the entire time she had been in thought. She couldn’t help but think that perhaps she was advancing more quickly than she thought. She was just overthinking things.

Kori formed Fuuton in her other hand and looked at the two elemenets together. She was able to keep the Fuuton under control and sustained with such little power, but the Suiton was a real struggle. Still, her ultimate goal was to combine them so…Kori clapped her hands together. The cold was present – but ice chakra was not made. She flew backwards as the resulting mix of chakras exploded outwards and knocked her off her feet.
 
The Fuuton had felt fine but mixing it with the suiton was hard. She wasn’t ready, yet. She needed to practice her Suiton more, first. In frustration, Kori threw a wooden kunai at the fence yet again – where many were beginning to pile up.
