Nature under the Waterfall

Shan walked dutifully among the hidden mountainside near Kiri. The exams were over. Regardless of results, he had plans to enact. He had three plans to enact, to be exact. The first was to learn this power the Turtle Summons mentioned. This ability would help me defeat Shao Hyuuga. The man with a Dojutsu. He had used the ability in their fight and he wasn’t exactly sure what it did, but it seemed to grant him additional abilities in the realm of Taijutsu at the very least. Still, he would take the eye and see for himself. If the eye proved powerful, well then…he would just have to destroy the entire clan.

The Hokage who had talked to them possessed similar eyes…yes, this would be very difficult. Still, the first step would be to gain more power. The second step would also be to gain more power – albeit in a unique way. This method involved finding the Helmet of Ramuh, which granted untold abilities with the Raidengan. It would be nearly impossible to find – but he knew it was in this area somewhere. The Helmet of Ramuh was the famed helmet of – you guessed it – Ramuh, one of the most powerful Hiraishin in the world. This being was said to possess not two Raidengan, but three and he used them to catastrophic effect.

That left the third way of gaining power. He would gain one of the swords of the seven swordsmen. They were famous here in Kiri, and Shan knew that they were here somewhere. He didn’t have much information on them, but he would gather that shortly. Shan made a hand sign as he stood there and closed his eyes – focusing his chakra on his palms.

Poof!

Two clouds of smoke appeared and two identical versions of Shan emerged from them. Shan gestured towards one. “You, go look for the Helmet of Ramuh. Take Heto with you. She has the map and can help locate the other battlefields.”

Shan turned his attention towards his second clone.

“I need you to gather information on the Seven Swordsman. Report back when you are done.” Shan then closed his eyes and concentrated. He didn’t need to do this to command the mmentally or any nonsense like that. They were essentially independent beings at this point. No, he was concentrating so that he could visualize his next steps. He could summon a turtle to come here and teach him this power, but it was likely that the turtle he summoned would be small and unable to accomplish the task. He would probably need to talk to the King Turtle, Akupara.

Shan visualized the route he would need to take. Without Heto there to guide him back to the battleground he had known before, it would be difficult to get there without getting lost. It was a decent trek and having no map was not a good thing. Once he visualized the route, Shan dashed out of his little alcove and into the forest. The trees were wet – as it had rained recently. It always rained recently when one was in Kiri. It seemed to be the constant state of affairs. Well, that or snow. Luckily, there wasn’t any snow on the ground at the moment.

Shan ran for hours without break. His body was physically exhausted and his mind mentally exhausted from the exams, but progress couldn’t wait. The power of some of the individuals in the exam showed him that he had a long way to go. Shao Hyuuga. Reo Gojisou. Fuu Kogeta. The Junpaku girl – though Shan did enjoy the company of that Makoto. He would have to be sure to find him again before he left Kiri. If he possessed power like the girl in the Chuunin Exams…then he would surely be a great ally. As he ran, Shan made as many clones as he physically could and they all focused on gathering water chakra in their hands. They needed to be stronger. They had to be stronger.

Shan pulled up as he arrived at the battleground. As luck would have it, a storm was beginning to roll in.

Shan watched the dark clouds rumble overhead. They moved swiftly and ferociously almost as if…someone were calling them. In the center of the battleground stood the muscular man with long and spikey black hair. He acted confident as he held one hand towards the sky. The clouds seemed to coalesce directly above his hand. He stood there with his back turned to Shan – likely unaware of his presence.  

Shan moved forward slowly. He didn’t fear this man – but he did know his power. It was far beyond the power that Shan himself could manifest. He could see his clones in the distance, still training their suiton chakra manipulation.
