Kusa - Solo Quest[ Fangs of the Snake ]

Inshitsu sucked in his breath, setting the papers back on to the desk.”How many times do I have to tell you? There is no one else here.” Inshitsu quickly snatched up the papers and reenacted the events of the empty room, taking up a position behind the door. Inshitsu held his breath as he heard the door of the empty room open and shut again. Inshitsu heard the footstep get fainter as they went back into the lit portion of the hallway. Inshitsu peaked out the room’s door and started to walk out. Walking back into the empty room, he noticed that the window was still open. Inshitsu climbed out of the window, climbing to the roof of the building. Inshitsu ran away from the building in order to find a spot to study the documents that he had obtained.

Inshitsu sat on top of the building that he chose to sleep on. The papers had revealed many things to Inshitsu about the Kusanagi no Tsurugi. The blade was indeed a legendary blade, and it was supposed to be hidden from the public. Whoever he stumbled upon had found the blade and hid it in a personal location. He read as the papers said all of the locations that it was cycled through and when. Inshitsu read about the group who was transferring the blade around, Murasakiiro Kyaria Hato, and the rest of the cargo that was moving with the blade. Inshitsu cracked his knuckles as he traced the blade back to where he could find it.

Inshitsu waited onto of a roof staring at a bar across the street. According to the papers that he had stolen, the tradeoff was supposed to occur between the bartender and a masked female. Inshitsu had seen the female walk in, but it had been ten mintues and she had not walked out of the bar. Inshitsu was debating whether or not that the papers had been correct. Inshitsu’s doubt went away as soon as he saw the female leave with her cloak being bulky than normal. Inshitsu got out of his waiting position as he started to tail the female to her final destination.

Inshitsu was surprised to notice that the woman did not take a confusing route at all. She was going at a much quicker pace than the other pair and was going directly to the location. Inshitsu struggled to keep up with her as he traveled along the rooftops to track her to the location. Inshitsu stopped. The woman suddenly twisted to look behind her for the first time. The woman scanned all around her: up the street, down the street, and even scan the roof tops for any one that would have been following her. Inshitsu ducked out of the path of her sight. Inshitsu shot back to watching her as she ducked into the location where she would have deposited the blade for someone to pick up.

Inshitsu waited as the lady scanned the area again and departed from the street. Inshitsu climbed down to street level, and walked up to the building contain the blade. Inshitsu looked into a window first floor. The room he was looking into was dimly lit, but he saw two men holding the blade under a lens. They must be inspecting the blade, thought Inshitsu, but they don’t look like they could handle their selves in a fight. Inshitsu opened the window silently. Inshitsu waited for any reaction that could’ve occurred from the two men, and then climbed into the window as silently as he opened it.

The men still did not react to Inshitsu’s entry. Inshitsu hid behind a crate that was within the room. Inshitsu peaked around the corner at the men. They had just set in down and retrieve another crate without a lid. They wrapped the blade up and set it within the crate and hammered a lid onto the crate. Inshitsu had to resist the urge to burst out of his hiding spot and to snatch up the blade. They took the crate out of the room and carried into another room of the house. Inshitsu waited as one of the men came back into the room and ended the little light that was in the room before leaving again.

Inshitsu walked over to the door, crouching to avoid making any noise from walking on the floor. Reaching the door, he waited a couple of minutes before he walked into the room that was adjacent to the one that he was already in. Inshitsu was taken back as he walked into a room full of the crates. He saw no indication of which crate could have contained the Kusanagi no Tsurugi. Inshitsu closed the door as he looked at the lines of crates. He walked over to a crate that had a green stamp on it. It didn’t have anything except for a couple of numbers. Inshitsu remembered that on the papers they said that any crate that would hold anything of the Murasakiiro’s cargo that the numbers would begin with “975-5xxxx”.

Inshitsu wasted 10 minutes looking at the rows of crates wondering which one could have contained a 975-5xxxx crate. Inshitsu walked over to the row at one end of the room. The first crate had a clipboard on it that listed off which rows had what numbers. The problem was that there was not a 975-5xxx row. Instead, there was a tally off to the side that told off how many 975-5xxx crates were within the row. Inshitsu picked up the clipboard and looked for a crowbar that could help him pull off the crates’ lids. Inshitsu walked down the first row and found a crowbar between two crates. Picking the crowbar up, he prepared to be stuck in the room for a while.

Inshitsu had gone through three rows so far. He found bags of weaponry and a couple of sealed scrolls in the crates that he had opened so far. Inshitsu was sitting on top of one of the closed crates, stopping so that he could catch his breath. Inshitsu got off of the crate and walked over to the last row that was listed with a 975-5xxx crate. Inshitsu scanned every single crate that was in the row. On the fifth crate in the row, he saw the numbers that he was seeking. Inshitsu’s excitement rose as he knew that it was certain for the blade to be within the crate. Inshitsu shoved the crowbar under the lid and popped the crate open.

Inshitsu was happier than he had been in most of his life. The blade was in the middle of the open crate with nothing else in the crate. Inshitsu dropped the crowbar as he pulled the blade out of the crate. He was ready to leave with blade in his hand. Inshitsu grabbed the lid of the crate and covered the crate that was devoted to the blade. Inshitsu ‘s mind started to rush as he ran through what Grave would do when gave the blade to him. He tried to get rid of any bad thoughts that rose on that topic. Inshitsu twisted around, heading back to the entrance to the room.

“Who is that?” Inshitsu suddenly twisted to see the source of the noise. It came from someone that was obscured behind crates. Inshitsu quickly ducked behind the crates that were on either side of his body. The person who came from behind the crates was one of the men that helped seal the blade in a crate. Inshitsu watched as the man came right next to him to investigate the opened 975-5xxxx crate. Inshitsu could see the eyes of the man widened as the man removed the lid of the crate. The man seemed to be at a loss of words at the blade’s disappearance.
