Asura felt the soothing sensation on his back as the wound from Beerus' claw mark melted away. His inner gates were truly a blessing in times like these. However, he didn't have time to enjoy it as he saw Beerus let out his loud, screeching demonic cry. He clutched his ears, and would have felt the blow to his psyche---

--- except as Beerus charged to strike with his claws, Asura vanished. All he hit was after images again. This time, Asura appeared beside him. Beerus looked wide eyed as he saw Asura, moving and unhindered by the Genjutsu. "Wh-what? How?! You should be completely incapacitated!"

SLASH!!  Asura struck with a swipe of his claws at Beerus. However, while Beerus in fact wasn't bothered by physical attacks, this one stung him greatly. "You mocked the inner gates," Asura growled at Beerus as he saw the cat reel back. "But I'll let you in on a secret. This version of the inner gates is something I awakened, different from what you know. The six gate govern the power of the mind."

WHAM! He delivered another kick, this time trying to throw him off with his blows. "By opening the sixth gate, I am immune to Genjutsu!" He delivered a second kick for emphasis, knocking him away.

With the space between them, Asura drew back his hand. Once more, a Rasengan appeared, but this time the sphere spun faster. He added his chakra further to it-- and soon the sphere began to glow red. Specks of flame spun off the sphere, as if to become a fireball. The glow of the orb lit up the cavern and lit up Beerus' face in shock. "Oh crap..."

"  Katon: Gōen Rasengan!!!"

KA-BOOM! The flash of fire erupted between where Asura impacted his palm with Beerus. The resulting blast of fire rose upward and engulfed Beerus. The flames flared outward, flying all over the place and pushing past the enclosed cavern-- jetting out of the cave tunnel further.

Thankfully, Asura's immunity to fire made him impervious to the back-lash of the jutsu. Any higher damage, would risk a cave in to the ninja, burying him in as well.

The large explosion of fire was indeed a powerful burst through the entire cavern. Every stone and crevice of the cave was scorching hot. Smoke or steam wafted in the air and smoke wafted from the place of impact. Parts of the stone even glowed red with the flames created by Asura's jutsu.

Ragged breaths came from him as he soon fell to his knees in the smoke.

However, he was not the only one who was catching his second wind. Beerus too was scorched and severely burnt by Asura's Jutsu. It was indeed a powerful fire release technique-- one he learned from his master, but it was not enough to stop Beerus.

Had it been any other human or creature, the fire style jutsu would of burnt him to a crisp-- but Beerus somehow survived. Even worse as he stood there, the burnt body of his began to heal up. It seemed to ripple as if made of smoke, and his burns began to clear up. Finished, the tiger growled. "That... really stung, you little shit." he snarled at Asura.

Asura snarled as he was about to stand-- but soon felt a sudden weakness. Like a jump in his heartbeat, his energy soon gave out all of a sudden. He fell down to his hands and knees in the smoke. The bright blue aura of the six gate suddenly vanished like a candle in the wind. He felt his gates fail him more and more...

He felt his strength weaken from his abilities, and now he was sure more than one of his gates failed. The only aura now was the golden flow and discharge of electricity from his other gates. Ragged breath left him as he soon felt the backlash of Ajai. His vision blurred briefly at Beerus as he recovered. His chakra felt wonky as well, unable to focus it right. It was as he feared. With the inner gate gone, he lost his ability to control his chakra as easily as before.

Witnessing it, Beerus smirked wickedly. "Well, well,well... how fitting. If I am guessing right, this is the side effect to your little gates, hm?" the demon purred and slowly walked over to him. His sharp teeth was visible with his sick grin. Asura looked up at him, seeing the demon's smirk.

"Now... time for a little just desserts," the demon said, and reached down.

"GHA!" Asura gasped as the demon grabbed a hold of his hair and used it to pull him up, forcing him up. The claws grabbing his body began to glow-- siphoning his spiritual energy. Asura grunted as his soul was drained out from the stab of the enemy. Even though his claws were not that strong-- the damage to his soul was painful. "GHRRAAA!!"

*CHOMP* As if to further feed off Asura, Beerus dug his own maw right into the throat of the young Jiin. He cried out in pain, as the demon fed off his flesh, tasting the blood that dripped from the wound. He grinned, enjoying the squirming sensation. "Relax, boy... just relax... rest and it will all be over. Hehehe..."

Asura's body struggled, trying hard to keep together-- but his strength was failing him. His body soon went limp as his enemy chomped down, draining him of his blood and soul. Beerus grinned in delight, tasting the sweet sensation of both.

It seemed like the end for the Shinobi...

Reaction: Clone takes damage and soul drained--

Beerus' fangs were deep into Asura's body and his body no longer moved. He appeared dead and his soul drained--

-- however, seconds after, Beerus felt something different. A strange heat that came from the body he now was trying to eat. Even though dead, it seemed to grow warmer. He looked and soon saw the body begin to glow brighter, hotter as if a powerful fire was brewing in the depths of the body.

"What the---" he gasped with a full mouth....


Ka-BOOOM!!  The body of Asura violently exploded with a flash of fire. It was so strong the cavern quaked. The explosion sent Beerus flying clear across the cavern, fire washed all over his fur and body. He screamed from the blast and smashed right into a nearby cave wall-- the impact so strong it left a small crater.

Beerus cursed creatively as he tried to pull himself from the crater of the wall, pieces of rock crumbling under him. "Fuck-- damn that son of a---"

But through all the smoke and fire, Asura appeared like a devil from the flames. Charging straight forward with the same golden aura of his remaining gates-- he lunged forward. To even further his effort, he channeled what chakra he could into his strength. He knew his body was weaker, so he channeled his chakra to his arm with his weapon, and drove to deliver a truly powerful finishing blow.

With a mighty cry, he drew his clawed fist back-- and poised to strike right into Beerus' chest. His Tengan eyes glowed with fiery light, him driven to not let his attack miss. For him-- it was all or nothing and he charged with all his might to kill this demon.

"GOT YOU!!" His claw and fist struck into Beerus' the impact so strong it caused a further impact into the cave's wall.

Game Over.

The impact soon ended with a resulting echo. Asura's arm was thrust forward-- the claws of his weapon now buried deep in its target. It was a direct him.

"Hard to make smart-cracks now with a blade in your chest, isn't it Beerus," Asura replied. In that very instance, the inner gates all shut down around Asura. The aura of golden energy soon faded away as swiftly as the 6th gate, restoring his red hair and regular physic.

Beerus was now pinned to the wall-- Asura's Soul Tiger Claws buried into his chest and into the wall behind him. Beerus was still, shocked by the damage he inflicted-- but he didn't pant or move as Asura did. Like a true ghost, he remained still and unhindered by the physical blow. "

Ba-dum...

A pulse of energy suddenly silenced Beerus from deep in his chest. He felt a sudden drop in his soul-- his energy bleeding out almost, even though nothing could be seen. His gaze came to the claws in his chest, and saw as it glowed.

The demon was still confused. "Wait... but how. I-I consumed your soul, so why did you..." he said slowly.

Asura glared at Beerus, his Tengan still aglow. "Isn't it obvious?" Asura asked with a hint of humor. "What you attacked... was a Pyro Clone I created. The moment you attacked, it exploded like a bomb, giving me a perfect opening to attack. "

"B-but when?" Beerus snarled , "I was watching you the whole time... When could you of possibly cast such a jutsu?"

Asura answered without a hesitation. "When I first attacked you with my barrage of punches. You remember, right?" he explained. "With so many fists and after images coming at you, you didn't realize I wove hand signs in between to cast a single Pyro Clone. I positioned it behind me, and kept him hidden between my attacks. Any sight of him could of been a simple after image like the others."

Beerus remembered the moment,, that under the assault of multiple punches. It was the perfect moment for Asura to weave signs-- and then moments later was grabbed by his Taijutsu move.

"I were not wrong. My inner gates are powerful, but even I am aware what happens when they expire," Asura continued, "I knew once they ran out, I would be vulnerable to your attacks. So I made a Pyro CLone to act as a decoy, and simply switched with him after my final attack using the gates. The fire made a perfect smokescreen to swap out with him. Because you were expecting me to be so weak from the side-effects, you didn't even think twice about the difference in my clone's physical strength. You were too focused about making a meal of my soul."

"You... You bastard..." Beerus sneered angrily.

"Guess I out-tricked the trickster, huh?" Asura joked with a smirk on his face. He was proud of his actions, using his head to outwit the demon of the cursed sword.

Still, Beerus reered up his head, even with his body pinned. "Well, pat yourself on the back all you want-- but this is far from over," he growled at Asura. " I can't die, you dumb shit. I am the demon of the Trickster blade. It seemed you have not learned that physical attacks can't stop--" Beerus tried to move upward, to pass through the claws that were stuck in his chest---

--- but he couldn't budge. His eyes widened with confusion that he was paralized and even more of his energy began to drain from his body. "What... H-how is this possible? "

"You are indeed a ghost," Asura agreed, but a tone of correction lingered in his voice. "But a ghost who can manipulate chakra. There is always a reason behind it-- and I found out what." He smiled proudly as he found the answer long ago. It was all around him, the glittering specks of metal that shimmered in the dark cave. "Spirium ore. The entire cave system is one big vein of it, the same metal as my Soul Tiger Claws. I noticed it back when in the cavern of your first Genjutsu."

Asura remembered how the freckles of glowing ore lit up the chamber, and further down the cave tunnels. Back then, he didn't realize it, but now it was clear. "Even if you were were a vengeful ghost with dark power-- even you wouldn't of been able to make a body and manipulate chakra-- unless you had help," he explained, "You used the Spirium as a medium to cast your Jutsu from a distance within the sealed caves. It also acted as a means to give yourself a tangible form. Enough of it could no doubt manifest a soul in a caporial form, especially if that blade of yours carries chakra. If I assumed right, you could only truly manifest your body here-- in close proximity to the sword itself, right?"

Beerus growled softly, each correct word Asura was on making him even bitter. All the while, his body began to become more and more transparent. Even his mass felt lighter to Asura as his blade and arm was deep inside his chest cavity. "I also noticed how you took every chance to avoid direct contact with my claws? Why would you do that if my physical attacks couldn't hurt you up till now?" He remembered how Beerus dodged and moved around Asura's claw attacks, trying desperately to avoid it, and also how if there was any moment of severe pain, was when the claws connected. Asura answered the question himself. "It's because Spirium is a conductor for the soul's energy. Just as you used it to channel your own soul into a tangible body, the same material with a soul's energy-- could be used to sever that connection. " Asura looked to the Tiger CLaw Weapon that glowed around his fist, and looked proudly back to Beerus. "My Tiger Claw tore through the fabric of your being, and depleting you of the energy you needed to maintain your body. Physical damage might not hurt you as bad, but this one destroys the body you created with your cursed Chakra. "

With his final explanation, Asura twisted his fist-- and slashed his claws to the side-- slicing away Beerus' body-- which tore through him like incense smoke. He let out a breath as his body wobbled a bit, clutching the wall, but even his limbs began to waft away.

"D...Damn you, brat..." Beerus growled, his whiskers up and his teeth bared. "You... dare trick me.... Hehehe... I hate to admit it. But you are indeed a clever bastard..." The anger soon seemed to enter another one of his smart-ass taunting smirks. "You saw through me like the ghost I am... You came down here for the sword, well guess what.... It's yours now. Congratulations..."

Asura didn't say anything to the demon, but watched as he slowly disappeared. The demon just smirked as he began to fade away. "But... don't think you seen the last of me, kiddo. I AM the cursed blade. My will, my carnage, my desire for chaos-- can never be sated. So go ahead. Wield my blade... because sooner or later, you will understand that same desire for bloodshed. "

"How do I know, you ask?" the demon said, his body now completely smoke. His voice grew deeper and was now only his head appeared as a smoky vision with glowing eyes. "Hehe.. because we are not all that different. I look forward to show you what true carnage is.... Asura..."

Finally the smoke of the demon completely vanished. What traces were left wafted into the air and returned towards the sword, where it glowed-- then stopped.

5.+ - Sacred Tiger Claws- - > Sei Tora no Tsume

> A sacred jutsu bound to the weapons of the Tigers. Their claws always tore their enemies to shreds, and now too can they use them to rend through space itself. By slashing at a pocket of space, one may tear through reality and cross space through the claw-shaped slash. The tears can be used for multiple purposes from fast-travel teleportation to evading enemy attacks by cutting a portal via the claws. One must have a clear location/idea in mind of where each tear in space occurs.

The chaos was over. He finally let out a sigh of relief. His free hand rested upon the wall of the cave and he caught his breath. Every fiber of his body ached from the strain of his fighting-- never did he have to result to using the 6th gate of Mantra to overcome an obstacle. He didn't want to think what would of happened should he need the 7th gate. Even his Tengan deactivated, showing just how relieved he was to deactivate his Doujutsu to recover.

However, as he recovered from his scare and strain to his overworked body... he soon felt the rumble of the cave against his palm. The ground also trembled and soon the entire cave began to quake. Asura's head snapped up as he looked above. Cracks began to form on the ceiling and pieces of debris began to fall.

All the fire, explosion and impacts against the cave had ruined the structure. It had held up till now, but the cave was moments of falling apart-- and would bury Asura beneath it. "Oh come on... " Asura groaned, hitting himself lightly in the head with his free fist.

Each second that past, the rumble would increase. He quickly approached the pedistal where the sword was tied up in chains and sealing tags. Using the Soul Tiger Claws, he slashed through the chains, and caused the sword to clatter upon the pedestal below. He picked it up, and focused onto his claws.

"Time to go--!" Asura grumbled and focused his CHakra into the claws. "Sacred Tiger Claws!"

He slashed the claws over the space in front of him-- and tore open a 3-clawed tear in space...

... only to have it close up in a split second. It didn't even open up enough to let an arm through.

"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me!!" Asura shouted aloud, hearing more of the cave start to crumble down.

Two rocks came falling behind Asura, urging him further to the edge of the cavern. His chakra network was still screwy after the 6th gate. Utilizing chakra to overpower Genjutsu from his mind caused the chakra network to become weaker. Even as the side effects began to fade, it was still an effort to make the time-space jutsu work.

"Come on... COme on!!" Asura shouted and slashed the claws-- but hardly a sliver of space tore open. Each second, more of the ceiling began to crack, being seconds before it would cave in. After a moment, Asura stopped and took a breath. Panicing wouldn't help him. He remembered the fundamentals and focused. "Okay... calm down. Chakra control only works with focus and a calm mind. Focus chakra to the claws...." He felt his chakra move to the claws again-- and this time he kept his mind clear. "... Picture the place I want to open the tear..." He visualized the spot he wished to go...

The sound of crumbling rocks came louder and louder. Above him, a huge chunk of rock was about to crumble. He looked up to see it about to fall, wobbling from the cracks that spread out around it.

"Now!" Asura shouted and slashed the claws in a single arc on the ground below him---

--- and the tear formed directly under his feet, now wide enough for him to escape. The rocks soon came falling down, poised to crush Asura.

Gravity did the rest as Asura clung to his claws and the Trickster Blade under his arm. He fell right through the tear in space and vanished into the vortex inside the claw-shaped tear. It then closed in a second after him-- shut as the boulder came and crashed down on the ground.

The cave soon came tumbling down, rocks filling up the space and soon was completely eclipsed by the trembling earth.

Asura went flying through the vortex of the Sacred Tiger Claw jutsu. Gravity was different there as he couldn't tell if he was falling or flying through the tear in space--and soon saw his destination appear. A claw mark of light appeared before him where he wished-- and he flew through to the light beyond it.

The bright light was the glow of the lava field within the Naraka caves-- except this was located much higher than he had been previously. It was directly above the bridge and mouth of the chamber of Vulcan's forge. Asura fell directly out of the tear in space, landing right onto the bridge.

His 'landing' came to a tumble as he fell on his side and tumbled a distance. Both his claws and new sword were clutched near his chest as he lied there, recovering from the fright of the falling chamber, and the impact to the ground. "Ouch... I gotta work on the landings," Asura grumbled with his eyes closed.

"Hm-hm... I would say so," a familiar voice spoke to him.

Asura turned his head up and soon saw he was not alone. Gathered around him was Vidav, and a few of his tiger friends. He saw the smiles on their faces and mixes of concern that he was indeed alright. "Lord Vidav..." Asura smiled as he saw the cloaked white tiger-- and turned to the two Rakshasa Brothers. "Chigatsumi... Bloody Mist..." he turned to the last one, who gave him a grumpy look and his arms crossed. "And... oh crap..." Asura finished, realizing how pissed off Vulcan was.

"DAMN STRAIGHT!!" Vulcan growled and lunged a claw forward. He took hold of Asura's arm to pull him up-- but gave him a good shake as if to strangle him. "DO you have any idea how worries we were! What part of cursed, forbidden cave did you not get!?"

Asura stumbled by the tiger's violent shaking, but regained his footing. Besides Vulcan, Vidav, Chigatsumi and Bloody Mist were much more appreciative that Asura was in fact alive and back with them. "You gave us quite a fright, Asura," Vidav said but with a calm smile, "Thank the gods your alive. That was a dangerous risk you took."

Asura recovered his breath, and soon bowed his head to Vidav. "I'm very sorry I made you worry..." Asura said.

Both brothers, CHigatsumi and Bloody Mist seemed more impressed than relieived. "Well, thats the last time we can ever tease Asura about being a scardy cat," Chigatsumi said.

His brother, replied in turn as they always did. "The kid's got balls. Didn't think he had the guts to go in there-- and survive." Bloody Mist said with a whistle. "You're something else, Asura."

Asura chuckled at the comments from his two tiger friends-- but the growl of the larger, angry orange tiger kept him on his toes. It almost made him wish he was back with the soul-sucking Beerus.

"Don't think your ass is out of the fire, punk!" Vulcan growled as Asura turned around. The tiger leaned closer, showing his teeth. "I told you I was gonna give you such a whipping for going into the cursed cave. Well get ready cause I'm gonna give you a new brand of hell that will make you shit your---!. "

Vulcan was suddenly interrupted as Asura shoved the sheathed sword up in front of his face. The cursed sword, Carnage-- the Trickster Blade was now in his hand and he held it out for Vulcan to look at. Asura just smiled into his angry gaze, and the tiger blinked at the sight of the weapon. "That's such a shame, Vulcan. And I went through all this trouble to bring back this legendary weapon. " he said with a grin, " I planned to keep it for myself to use-- but I'd be happy to let you study it thourally. You know, I'm sure a swordsmith of your caliber would truly appreciate the craftsmanship of this piece. Right?"

Asura's words were well placed, and the tiger hesitated. Anger that was once on his face was wished away as his whiskers twitched with temptation to take hold of the sword. The tiger hesitated for a few seconds but soon snatched the sword out of Asura's hand. THe tiger held it easily. What was the size of a katana to Asura was like a small scimitar to the tiger. The elegant shape entranced the tiger in his professional interest. "Hmm... exquisit piece. I may be able to work on some new designs from this," he said.. and soon turned to return to his forge. "Nice find, cub. COme back later and I'll give it back when I'm done."

Asura let out a soft sigh, realizing he was able to 'pacify' the touchy tiger. "Take your time with it," Asura replied.

As Vulcan left for his forge, the two tiger brothers were once again impressed. "Wow... you dodged a bullet with him, "CHigatsumi commented, "That old tiger chews on diamonds to become such a badass."

Vidav approached Asura and patted him on the back. "You are not severely hurt, are you?" the tiger asked.

Asura rolled his shoulders a bit. His body ached and he still felt the small cut where the demon had scratched him on his back. "A little sore. I wasn't able to fully heal myself in battle, but I am okay so far." Asura replied.

Vidav smirked and gave Asura a pat on his back. "Good to hear it. Don't worry-- I'll heal you what is needed," he replied with that calm smile. "You will need it for what I have planned for you."

Asura's reassured feeling of rest and healing was shattered by the sudden chuckle of the tiger. "Eh?" Asura gasped and turned to Vidav. "What is that suppose to mean?"

"Well you did break into a forbidden section of our land. It was sealed and you disregarded warnings from entering," Vidav said, his smirk never fading, "I was responsible for half of those wards, you know to keep that evil sealed in. "

Sweat dripped from Asura's brow-- at first he thought from the heat, but now from the fear of Vidav's words directed at him. "Um... er... Does it help my case in that I defeated the demon down there, found the sword and removed the root due to the fact it was influenced by the metal down there?" he asked with a chuckle to convince Vidav.

Vidav laughed at that, his tone light-- but he shook his head all the same. "Nope," he replied and turned to walk from the cave. "Admirable, but still, I'll have to come up with an appropriate punishment. Hmm... what to do?" he thought aloud, walking leisurely away.

Asura felt a chill run up his spine at the 'unknown punishment' that would befall him. Nearby, he heard the brothers snicker. "Oh, no... Poor Asura," Bloody Mist said, stiffling a chuckle.

Bloody Mist gave Asura a pat on his shoulder. "Sigh... So, sorry buddy. It was nice knowing you..."

Asura froze-- but soon gave a shout of alarm. He quickly ran after Vidav, frantic at what fate was in store for him. "Master Vidav-- I'm sorry! Please don't do anything cruel and unusual! " he pleaded.

"More cruel and unusual than fighting a demon bound to a sword you dug up?" he replied light-heartedely. "Well, we just will have to wait and see, won't we?"

"GOD-- stop tormenting me already!!"

And so Asura retrieved the legendary sword. Whether it would unlock a new power for him-- or give birth to something as dangerous as the demon that dwelled below-- only time would tell.
