So, Kori was pretty proud at what she had managed to do. She eyed the thief on the ground. His chest was rising and falling – so he was still alive. Still, he didn’t move when Kori had hit him with a wooden kunai and talked to him. Perhaps he needed that again? She carefully picked up the wooden kunai – keeping an eye on the thief the entire time in case he tried to make a move and take her off balance. He didn’t.

She threw the wooden kunai at the man’s back once again. He didn’t move. “I said…Tag, you’re it!”

“Hey, are you sleeping?” Kori asked as she walked forward and picked up the wooden kunai. She began to poke the man in the back. Poke. Poke. Poke. She finally saw him stir. A soft groan came from him as Kori rolled the man over.

His eyes were groggy and he looked around with furrowed brows. “You look confused. You tried to rob a store. I’ve caught you. The end.” Kori said to him as she placed her foot on his chest. The way he was looking, Kori couldn’t help but think that he had hit his head when he fell or something.

“The end?” The man managed to mutter as he attempted to move Kori’s foot. She could tell immediately that he was stronger than she was, but she was faster – though it hadn’t felt that way when she was running to catch up to him. Perhaps his altered mental state or the ice had slowed his reflexes. Either way, when he pushed her foot off him, she managed to quickly slam the other foot down onto his chest. As her foot hit the man’s chest, Kori had the distinctive displeasure of hearing a bone crack.

“oops.” She muttered as she leaned in close. “Why did you rob the place?”

“Oh. Duh!” Kori said as she casually bent down and picked up the bag that he had been carrying, She heard the distinctive clinking of gold coins from within the bag and groaned from the weight. “Oh oh. You were after the good stuff, weren’t you.”

Kori stepped off of the man’s chest and looked at him. “hmm. I can’t let you go, but I can’t take you with me either…”

Kori channeled Hyouton in her hands and stared at it. A lightbulb went off in her head as she reached down and placed her hands on her opponent’s arms. Ice coalesced around his arms and froze to the ground. The man struggled slightly – unable to put forth too much effort due to the cracked ribcage – and couldn’t move.

“Well, that’ll do it.” Kori smiled as she began to walk back towards the shop owner. She didn’t run back but strolled leisurely, whistling along the way. By time she arrived at the shop, the police had already arrived.

“I caught him.” Kori said with a smile as she held the bag up.
