Active Style: The Fighter's Edge. Tai-ken Style
A balanced fighting style that utilize the combination of Taijutsu combos along with the use of a blade. Users of this technique rely on fighting with their bodies as well as the extra support of a sword, increasing their defense and offense. Originally created by a street fighter from Kumo.

> Asura's personal weapon. A skillfully crafted tantō/ short katana of the highest quality. A silver-colored blade with flames engraved upon it with a light red hue. The light curve of the blade allows for agile combat. Red cloth is wound around the handle with bit of golden filigry. Not the same as the gold ingots but to bring out a shine to it. The handle part that divides the hilt from the blade has the engraving of the Jiin clan on it-- the three flame pattern crest.

The battle was on as Asura took a fighting stance with his sword. It was odd he couldn't see any noticeable weapons on Shadow-- but of course that didn't mean they were not there. Of course he did notice the gleam of his eye. The Sharigan activate and the tonri pattern appearing. He knew it was dangers to look in his eyes, so he kept his observation fleeting at best as he could.

What was more immediate was the fact he wove hand signs and created a blast of sharp water aimed at him-- the kind that could slice through material like a blade!

However, that didn't phase Asura in the least. "Do you really think I don't know my own weaknesses?" he said as he wove hand signs of his own. Upon finishing, he slapped a hand down on the ground. "Doton! Dochubaku!!" The ground suddenly heaved and quaked as his chakra effected the earth below him-- causing a series of stones and ground to jump from the earth below them. The flow of earth easily met with the blast of water-- and soaked it up.

When it came to elements, Asura had familiarized himself with the relations to each one-- one of the most valuable lessons Master Roku taught him. Having knew fire was weak to water, Asura choose to learn earth to use against water, being its natural weakness.

With Shadow's initial attack thwarted, Asura was free to act now. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes for a moment-- and upon opening them, the irises of them changed into the tribal sun design. The Tengan was now active in Asura, allowing him to use his clan's abilities to the fullest. While not as strong or as fabled as the Sharigan-- Asura knew he could match it with his own skills. He didn't know everything about the Sharigan but he knew enough.

With another elegant and flashy spin of his blade, Asura grabbed it once more-- and this time, it began to glow. Asura funneled his chakra into his sword. On its own, his short katana was rather flimsy of a weapon and hardly useful in battle in comparison to others-- but Asura designed a unique fighting style of his own, using both the sword and the power of taijutsu. Further, Asura had created this very sword-- using chakra metal to allow it to store and grow stronger with chakra introduced from its wielder. The once flimsy sword was now far stronger than it was on its own.

"I'm going to enjoy finally getting the chance to KICK YOUR SMUG ASS!!" Asura roared and charged forward. He kicked off the ground and charged right for Shadow!

What followed was something unexpected. A form of Taijutsu that Asura developed around both the flow of the blade and his own body. Asura's charge was followed by a long sweep of his right leg towards Shadow's face, a punch towards the man's left shoulder with his free hand, a sweep of the left leg towards his legs to trip him up-- and finally with a dizzying slash of the sword downward upon Shadow-- attempting to throw him off with the physical hits.

While on its own, Taijutsu might of not been as fearsome as Shadow's ninjutsu-- but with Asura's use of combo techniques, he had transformed his Taijutsu into a formidable force!

Shadow looked on as his opponent seemed to know his own weaknesses.
“Very good…” he said. He smirked, as he saw the flow of chakra find its way through and through. Upon the onslaught, as his opponent had gotten closer, he had begun to wonder why his Sharingan did not indeed copy this technique. He figured it had something to do with his style of fighting. It was something he hadn’t seen before, but his Sharingan scanned quickly, as he began to dip and dodge the barrage of kicks and punches, bending backwards as the upper body kick and punch found its way to him. Within the motion of bending back, he continued momentum, back flipping away from the sweep. He awaited the slash, knowing that it had been soon to come with a slash full of chakra. As it had come, he lifted his legs, rotating his body vertically around the blade as it came, now finding himself behind his opponent. He placed his hand on him, giving him a slight shove, distancing the two of them.
“Impressive… you’re faster than I expected…” Shadow said as he stood up straight, now taking a stance. “I guess I have to be cautious…” he stood straight, as he began to feel the power of his environment get absorbed into his body. His skin began to visibly get a little more scaled. “Come on now… show me more…”

Asura barely was able to get a hit! Asura knew the Sharigan was like the Tengan in allowing motion to be noted and traced-- but this was unreal how he moved just a hair's breath out of range! Asura could tell the Sharigan was a powerful gift in the shinobi world and not only did he have good reaction speed, but he was carefully studying Asura's movements as well!

It ended with the final slash of his sword hitting nothing but air-- and a gentle push behind him as Shadow reappeared behind him, moving very fast by comparison. The push was just adding insult to 'injury' with the missed attack. As Shadow just stood there, Asura could see with his eyes the change with his body.

With the Tengan-- he could see the body temperature of the guy. He was going colder! It was almost similar to the Jiin art of the Tengan to use their own body temperature to avoid detection. Asura didn't know what was going on-- but then remembered one of the guy's minion had been a snake. Perhaps it was a form of transformation jutsu he was undergoing.

Asura had no intention to let him go through with the full process. "Staying still? You might as well be wearing a sign to say 'HIT ME!' " Asura growled and charged once more-- not about to let a moment be wasted in his action. With him just standing there, he was a sitting duck!

The young ninja charged forward-- but instead of his sword, he charged from his left side. His elbow was driving forward in attempt to hit his head head on-- but in a swift motion, he opened his arm out and used it as a fake out, delivering a strong punch from the swung-side and smashed it towards the left side of his face! The blow would be strong enough to dislocate a normal person's jaw! More importantly, anyone with a blow to the face would be severely stunned!

But Asura was far from done as he took this golden opportunity to take action. As Shadow was stunned-- he then performed a strong backflip and using his feet in the flip, to actually strike Shadow below his face-- launching him upward into the air from the impact. The Wheel of Pain Taijutsu move, another original move Asura came up with. He got the idea watching Konoha's taijutsu movers. As Shadow would begin to ascend upward from the kick, Asura completed the flip-- and jumped into the air after him.

Already Asura felt the strain on his muscles from exercising so many high strength Taijutsu moves so quickly, but it was one of his strengths after all and probably something not easily avoided by someone who used Ninjutsu. In the blink of an eye, Asura was now behind Shadow, following his ascending motion.

"Dodge this!!" Asura growled, and got ready for his big finishing move-- as wheel of pain was a set up for his next trick! In another flurry of motion, Asura spun around Shadow, proceeding with a series of blade strikes along his motion, with the aid of his feet and fists. He was going so fast it was as if a wild animal was proceeding to maul Shadow in the middle of the air! " Ken-Taijutsu!! BARRAGE OF TIGERS!!" The howl of air and strikes with the enhanced chakra blade almost made the air roar like that of several wild tigers!

From below, Ravana accepted Shadow's friends' drink and drank deeply before passing it over. A whistle escaped Ravana, observing the fight. "Heh... the kid is good when it comes to Taijutsu. I helped polish it up a bit," he said boasting the fact he trained him a bit. "Of course, his ninjutsu he was taught by his late master." he shared to the others.

Perhaps Shadow was just toying with Asura, but when Asura fought, he gave it his all!
