Asura knew the attack against Shadow wouldn't work-- even in his powered up state, but what he didn't anticipate was the use of chakra control. Before he knew it, the guy somehow was able to actually manipulate Asura's own doton attack-- and throw it RIGHT BACK AT HIM!! "WHat the hell?!" Asura gasped as he took action to defend himself.

Using his own sword as a brace, he drew and guarded against it. By sheer luck the rebound was only equal to his own strength. With him powered up, he could easily hold it off. Using his sword, he swatted some of the soil and used it to cut through the attack. He wouldn't of been thrown away-- but the attack still made contact and he endured it.

However the bigger problem was the assault now that Shadow was using-- controlling his limbs like snakes in a freaky manner. His body was constantly changing, as if he wasn't even human and more snake now than anything else. With attempts to grab him and throw him to the ground!

He was about to be hit till he snapped open his eyes-- and focused his chakra now. NO more playing around! Right as the first fist was about to hit...

... and upon impact, Asura erupted into crimson red flames! It was as if he combusted and was wafted away by the physical impact. The flames scattered for a moment, and then moved-- like a living fire with will of its own! The second attack with the freaky limbs hit nothing but the moving fires! After the failed physical attacks ended-- the flames moved to the side, and revealed Asura-- as if he had slipped out of the flames itself. It became Asura didn't vanish into the flames, but became them-- using them to avoid mortal damage! As he knelt there, crouching from his landing out of his 'flame form', he glared at Shadow with his Tengan.

Returning to a standing position with his sword in hand, Asura focused once more-- this time drawing more energy from his chakra to the gates he felt in control of. He felt more free and less strained now thanks to the gates-- but if he was going to do a decent DENT into the guy, he had to push himself further! From Shadow's Sharigan, he could see the flow of chakra further transform and intensify-- working from Asura's back and upward with each gate released.

"The third gate... Manipura-- Release!!" he shouted. At that moment, another burst of energy erupted around Asura. The power of the fire chakra gate inside him was unlocked-- causing an almost violent flow of energy out of him. The once redish energy now became a hue of yellow/gold as he powered up, his muscles becoming far more defined and his hair standing up a bit from the rush.

But that was not all. "The forth gate... Anahata..." he strained, feeling the both physical and emotional pain of each trigger-- the forth being the hardest for him as he had to remember the memory of love he lost-- in paticular, master Roku's death. "... RELEASE!!"

The forth gate added new energy to the last one-- as now Asura was covered by a golden aura, his hair color transformed as well into the same golden hue. His muscles grew larger to fit his size -- but became more defined and stronger, chakra now radiating from him with the flow of this new aura. It was as almost this energy was no longer chakra-- but something else entirely.

However, with the passing second, Asura grunted as he felt it-- the physical consequences of the inner gates start to take their toll. The forth gate was the threshold of when things got dangerous as he felt his muscles ache from the overload of energy. To stay in it too long for the first time would begin to effect his energy and life force.

Luckily however, the third gate made that easier as he was now less effected by pain-- his drive being the force that drove him forward now!

Taking a refirmed stance on the ground, he glared at Shadow, now prepared to really fight. "Let's go..." he said, the energy around him flaring up.

At that moment-- Asura took off in a blur of golden speed, and proceeded to ram right into Shadow's gut, both via the sword's hilt and the speed of his own fist. After delivering the blow, he grabbed hold of the snake-man's limb and proceeded to swing him around like a wheel. Finally after a mighty third spin-- he threw him away into a nearby tree, causing him to crash!

Twice, the young man evaded his attacks in a matter that made both his head and eyes spin.
“Intriguing technique…” Shadow said. He turned to see Asura continuing his transformations. “Hmmmm… at first I thought that you beat Mantan by chance. Perhaps we both underestimated your abilities…” he said. He smirked as he began to run towards Asura as he had been attacking him. “I will no longer make that mistake…” the moment the Taijutsu came at him, Shadow evaporated into a flock of black crows that find themselves spiraling towards Asura, before forming Shadow’s body behind him. He smirked as he then performed one seal, having ten shadow clones form behind him, with their hands on him. He extends his chakra to the outside of his body, extending it to them and connecting his chakra to theirs creating a link.
“Make your next shot your best shot, because I might just have to kick it up to half way full potential, just to shut you down…” he said smirking mockingly.

Asura had hoped to drive it all home with a powerful attack, and crippling shadow further, however-- big surprise the man pulled a substitution on him. Asura turned around, his Tengan eyes flaring as he saw the multile clones transform into snake clones. Talk about mixing themes, Asura thought as all the snake ninja enclosed around him, attempting to hit him with a critical melee blow!

SKRITSH!!

Asura was struck, the multiple attacks ripping into his back and body, as if he was torn to ribbions. There was a sudden quiet as soon Asura's body began to fall from the air, clearly having been dealt a deadly blow...

POOF!!

Smoke erupted where his body was, dropping a hunk of stone with an (object) in it. Asura was gone, having used the Substitution technique in order to evade the attack. Probably one of the simplest and easiest techniques to evade with. The look on all the clone's faces probably would be a riot.

But Asura couldn't see it as he was now above them. Glowing with his mighty golden aura, his energy sparking along his body as if lightning ran through his veins. As he began to descend, Asura had his eyes locked on all the clones, knowing the original had to be among them.

"If you think numbers will save you, you're dead wrong!" he growled, and decided to give him what he really asked for. "You wanted my best--- you got it!"

At that moment in his right hand, a sphere of chakra began to form. With each second it grew stronger with rotation, compression and containment. The power of the Rasengan! He drew forward, carrying the weight of Roku's teachings in the palm of his head.

In the final trainings of his late Master Roku, Asura saw his master use the Rasengan and taught Asura how to use it himself. It wasn't till later on, during the fight with Deus-- the man who killed him-- how Roku used fire chakra to actually add to the Rasengan's power. The Goen Rasengan and used it to knock Deus out of hiding from the earth. It was one of the fondest memories and lessons Asura learned from his master, and saw how Roku made the jutsu his own by transforming the nature release of the Jiin's fire chakra into the passed down jutsu from the Forth Hokage.

And now it was Asura's turn.

The sphere became fire red as the second past-- causing the sphere to grow hotter with flames. But Asura was far from done as he came in from above.

Remember when you taught me how to transform my katon jutsu into Enton? Asura thoughts directed at Shadow, remembering how the smug bastard showed off by giving Asura the power to transform his jutsu into the stronger element. Surprise, jackass!!

With a final push of his chakra-- he began to gather more and more chakra into the sphere, and it became an orange red--- and into a brilliant crimson red. The sphere grew bigger and brighter, almost looking like the evening sun.

From the spectators around-- Ravana had a sudden sweat drop fall from his brow. The man was usually never phased or disturbed-- but now he was starting to sweat as he saw the massive jutsu. "Well this is a surprise from Asura. Perhaps we should take a step back?" he offered to his new friends. He gestured for them to run a distance-- or get caught up in Asura's fiery attack.

The sphere was nearly twice as big as Asura, and burning so hot it felt like a desert's heat. Asura's eyes now burned with his fury, as bright as the sphere he was holding up with his chakra and hand! "Take this!! ENTON--" he said and slammed the sphere into the ground and easily eclipsing all of the clones!

"TAIYOU RASENGAN!!!"

The impact was met by a deafening crack-- and followed by a massive explosion! The sheer shock caused the trees to be blown back-- and finally the initial impact went off, causing a violent ploom of crimson red fire!

The ground shook and the sky turned red briefly as a massive storm of fire literally tore apart the battlefield.  The entire ground began to rain crimson fire, burning everything and anything in its path. Knowing that somehow Shadow was somehow manipulating the elements-- Asura knew a more evolved element might be more difficult for him to redirect.

It might of been... overkill, but the effects might be worth it. He did say give him his best. If it worked, it would eliminate all the clones as well! Even shadow couldn't evade that with clones alone. The resulting fire jutsu left a scorching twister into the air, showing the true power of fire a Jiin could control.

As the fire began to subside, the trees were pretty much all gone leaving a large scorching battlefield.

But Asura was far from done as he smirked, now standing in the epicenter where the blast had been.

The ground was now suddenly extremely warm to other people's feet. BUt that was not from the attack Asura had done previously. In the event Shadow somehow had avoided the full effect of the Tayou Rasengan-- he had another trick up his sleeve. He had yet to master it-- but he was now using Lava Style. Funneling his chakra into the ground, he was causing it to heat up. It was incomplete but it turned the entire battle field into a hot-zone.

Anyone else would feel unbearable to stand there, but for Asura he was perfectly comfortable, standing on the hot earth as if it was one standing on water via chakra.

Even if Shadow could avoid the last attack, he couldn't avoid this jutsu as the entire earth was effected.

Shadow looked high above at the young man.
‘Taijutsu and Elemental seem to be your Strengths…’ he thought to him. The huge flaming ball above him; watching it go from a Rasengan to fire; much like his own technique. But then, for it to grow into such a huge shape, and in a wonderful turn of events, turn into Enton due to the Katon to Enton conversion he taught him himself… this pleased Shadow.
“There is great potential in you…” Shadow said lowly. He crouched low, as if he had been becoming a feral beast.
The other members around him oddly stayed in their place, after looking as Shadow. They knew by his body language that they were in no harm’s way. However, Brad turned and began to run after the other man. “Hey, WAIT!” he began. It was then, Alpha looked from afar.
“Do not break formation!” He yelled. Brad looked at him sternly, then sadly disappointed.
“But…” he began, slouched over, turning back around. “He took my last gourd of saki………”
Shadow looked up at all in which came forth.
From above, an explosion took place, looking as if the attack had met its target. But, as the smoke cleared, there had been a huge spherical dome around the lot of them, almost like a cocoon of sort. It glowed with five colors; blue, red, white, brown, and a grayish color, all dancing as if it were solid chakra. The barrier came crashing down, just as something seemed to have come busting out of the top like a bullet through cardboard.
There, Shadow had been now covered in a devilish glowing purple aura, shaped like a humanoid wolf, with one tail waving behind him, with his arm cocked back coming at Asura with high speeds. He took his fist, throwing it forward with the cloak extending fiercely to take him down like a hand swatting down a fly.
Down below, the dome found itself blanketing across the ground, soothing the Earth instantaneously and negating the hot forming lava.

As the attack failed-- and saw the blast get absorbed up-- Ravana backed up and returned to Brad's side. "Sorry about that. Didn't know your boy had a trick of his own. Here," he said, taking one last swig of the sake and handed it back to him.

Asura was shocked. Beyond shocked. First-- he not only blocked his best jutsu-- but NEGATED it all together. The Taiyou Rasengan was his best jutsu he ever created, and the lava style was one he recently got a handle on. But somehow this guy not only stopped the jutsu, but negated the effects all together...

And then he saw it. The now blood-red cloak of power that was radiating from Shadow-- in the form of a wolf. Asura's eyes went wide with shock and realization. He was tough to beat before, and now he seemed even stronger. It was now clear what Shadow wasnow.

"You're... a jinchuriki..." Asura said, sensing the increase in his power.

His powers were useless against him now!

The demonic looking wolf charged forward, attempting to strike and gore through Asura! "SHIT!!"

Upon impact, Asura attempted to use Hot Streak-- if successful he would evade the physical assault to prevent mortal injury. If not...

As Asura moved as the formless flames of Enton-- Asura reappeared to the side of the creature. He gritted his teeth.

This is bad... the inner gates won't last too much longer. I doubt even going all the way to the seventh will help me match his power! he thought as he I don't wanna have this end in a fight to the death, but if he is giving this much, ill use one last jutsu... even with that he won't be able to shake it off easily.

"I Lied Shadow... I gave you the best I had with the intent not to kill. I got one last trick up my sleeve. Good luck shaking this off!!" Asura growled. He would stop short to avoid mortal injury but he was done playing nice.

At that moment, his eyes widened as his chakra flared up! "TENGAN!!" he shouted, focusing the chakra of his doujutsu towards Shadow's beast form---

KABOOM!!! A violent explosion of fire literally erupted right on point to where the beast was. Asura's ultimate doujutsu technique-- Flash Fire COmbustion, which caused a direct attack in the form of an explosion so quick, it was near impossible to dodge!

As the maelstrom of flames would whip around sHadow-- Negated or not-- Asura made his move. Using the fiery eruption as cover, he moved behind his enemy! His Tengan eyes glowed and the aura of his chakra gates now in full effect. This time he had his sword ready, intending to deliver a final blow and end this!

"This ends now!! KUMO THUNDERBREAK!!" With a swift shift of his feet and thrust of his body-- Asura moved as fast as lightning and struck SHadow from behind, his blade going into the jinchuriki's back to finish the job!
