Mod: So the Evasion Dice has been removed from the Battle system, this cause of A. Too many posts and B. Kinda long drawn out so the system was changed. Though there was a small hiccup, on the Stone Tablet it read the old battle system. This is because of myself typing this and reviewing the old site and what was changing versus the Combat Guide.

The rating of a hit is now determine like so.


This was also added on to the stone tablet just a while ago. So this was my fault and basically it goes to show. That If a player rolls a 1 to 10 they miss the attack, and 11 - 20. Keep in mind that if you have a 15 and you have a technique or ability that +X to your roll you do not unlock a critical success.

Shadow continued to smirk, as he saw his opponent begin to come in at him without hesitation. But, he had all he needed for now. His skin had grown completely cold, and his scales tough. It was not until he got up and personal that he finished his transformation. The first attack completely missed him; the other two, however, Shadow let hit him, smirking, as it did not slight him.
“Now… let’s try this again…” Shadow said, as he pointed his fingers once more, stringing hand seals with his other hand, shooting close range at Asura with the same technique that he used before. He awaited for the technique to hopefully hit, as he jumped back a little bit, clasping his hands to continue gathering energy from the environment.

Asura's attack ended with a crushing blow strong enough to leave a crater in the earth-- he was certain he had done some damage-- but as it turned out... he was grately mistaken as Shadow emerged without a scratch and even worse-- fully transformed. His skin was now more reptilian and his sharigan eyes looked even creepier under the influence of the transformation. Asura couldn't sense sage chakra yet, but all he knew was he underwent a powerful change.

Even worse now, the guy prepared to cast a jutsu-- another water style. "Damnit!" Asura growled and quickly wove signs to counter! "Earth Style-- Landslide!" Just by a hair's breath, earth erupted right between them-- causing the water to hit the blast of earth and cause a blast of earth and stone to go flying back at Shadow. Naturally though, despite the damage it absorbed, it wouldn't even leave a dent against him!

Asura quickly jumped away from Shadow, seeing him in his transformed state. He scowled at him, hating how he absorbed his best Taijutsu with nothing more than an impact. If he had gotten in in time, the jutsu would of torn him to shreds.

This was just him mocking him at this point...

... unless Asura stepped up his game as well.

Asura was huffing out air, having exhausted a bit of his stamina in those last attacks. The wear wouldn't go unnoticed by Shadow, but as he calmed his breath, Asura began to focus-- and his chakra began to change in response. His body became more relaxed, his muscles once tense now began to ease. It looked like how Shadow had been when he transformed. However, this was more for Asura's focus than anything else.

At that very moment, a flow of chakra could be sensed from him, as if something simmering beneath his skin. "The first gate...Muladhara-- Release!" he shouted.

Suddenly, his body released a dark red aura that surrounded Asura. The force of it looked like a sudden surge in chakra, as if he had eaten a food pill-- but he had done no such thing. The sheer pressure that was released seem to surge through his whole body, and caused the air to churn around him.

Ravana's eyes widened a bit as he sat there with his new friends of the Akatsuki. "Hmm... so he decided to use them at last. The true Chakra Gates of Mantra." he replied, observing Asura activate them for their martial function.

Asura felt the same surge of power-- but not from chakra but his own inner energy being released. He felt more lively now, and proceeded further.

"The second gate...Svadhishthana-- RELEASE!!" Another surge of energy was released into the air from where Asura was-- this time a more soothing presence to Asura as he reflected on the triggers of each gate-- emotional in nature but governed the body's responses. This one didn't power him up though-- it revitalized him. It was restoring his chakra, stamina, and even capable of healing wounds. With each passing second, he was receiving the energy he lost from his previous assaults to keep on going.

Once powered up-- Asura charged in with another attack with his sword, still aglow with chakra! While he was not using any particular jutsu, he was still trying to close the gap, and take action now with his new powered up body. Even though the attacks by his blade and strength alone wouldn't likely cause damage-- even Shadow would notice the significant difference in Asura's power!

Shadow smirked as the young man did exactly as he had hoped; using once again an Earth Style jutsu to counter. As his fingers were pointed still out, Shadow lifted the finger, as if to summon one to wait. And, as he did so, the Landslide that had been hurdling his way stopped in its tracks. He observed Asura’s stance and his chakra flare. Something within him grew.
“Interesting…” Shadow said to himself. The blade came at him, and Shadow wanted to test the waters of the power. Moving slightly to the right, allowing the slash to cut slightly into his scales. He looked into the eyes of Asura. There had been a little more of a kick behind that hit. He put his finger down finally, and the Landscape had come waving around, crashing towards Asura, attempting to hit him with his own technique.
With the possibility of Asura flying away after being hit, Shadow outstretched his right arm, and it wiggled slightly as if the muscles were have a slight spasm. He then threw it forward, as if to slap the air in from of him; as if he were down swatting a fly. There had been a weird delay; as his hand stayed in place but the arm moved. His limb had become fluent like that of a snake. And a moment right after, his hand shot forward, stretching to the distance of his opponent with a balled fist, punching downward, attempting to punch him down into the ground.
He would then grab the ground with his stretched arm, dig his nails into the soil, and pull himself, almost like a yo-yo returning to the base, to his arm, returning the limb to a normal size after getting airborne and in motion. As he had come down on his opponent, he curled his legs up, bring his knees to his chest. At the perfect moment, he would bring them thrusting out down upon Asura with all his might…
Brad took a deep gulp of the saki. He threw it back; before he took it away from his mouth and up to his eye, as if to peak in. He dumped it now to the ground, but nothing but air came out.
“Well shit… it’s all gone…” he said. He sighed and looked down, waiting for Ravana’s assume look of disappoint. “Well… I guess we just…” he then turned to a smile, reaching in his cloak. “OPEN ANOTHER!” he yelled, as he opened, drank, and passed off a freshly opened gourd. “You and I… we should hang out some time. Hopefully, after the Black Serpent over there possibly recruits your boy, you’ll be around more.”

Asura knew the attack against Shadow wouldn't work-- even in his powered up state, but what he didn't anticipate was the use of chakra control. Before he knew it, the guy somehow was able to actually manipulate Asura's own doton attack-- and throw it RIGHT BACK AT HIM!! "WHat the hell?!" Asura gasped as he took action to defend himself.

Using his own sword as a brace, he drew and guarded against it. By sheer luck the rebound was only equal to his own strength. With him powered up, he could easily hold it off. Using his sword, he swatted some of the soil and used it to cut through the attack. He wouldn't of been thrown away-- but the attack still made contact and he endured it.

However the bigger problem was the assault now that Shadow was using-- controlling his limbs like snakes in a freaky manner. His body was constantly changing, as if he wasn't even human and more snake now than anything else. With attempts to grab him and throw him to the ground!

He was about to be hit till he snapped open his eyes-- and focused his chakra now. NO more playing around! Right as the first fist was about to hit...

... and upon impact, Asura erupted into crimson red flames! It was as if he combusted and was wafted away by the physical impact. The flames scattered for a moment, and then moved-- like a living fire with will of its own! The second attack with the freaky limbs hit nothing but the moving fires! After the failed physical attacks ended-- the flames moved to the side, and revealed Asura-- as if he had slipped out of the flames itself. It became Asura didn't vanish into the flames, but became them-- using them to avoid mortal damage! As he knelt there, crouching from his landing out of his 'flame form', he glared at Shadow with his Tengan.

Returning to a standing position with his sword in hand, Asura focused once more-- this time drawing more energy from his chakra to the gates he felt in control of. He felt more free and less strained now thanks to the gates-- but if he was going to do a decent DENT into the guy, he had to push himself further! From Shadow's Sharigan, he could see the flow of chakra further transform and intensify-- working from Asura's back and upward with each gate released.

"The third gate... Manipura-- Release!!" he shouted. At that moment, another burst of energy erupted around Asura. The power of the fire chakra gate inside him was unlocked-- causing an almost violent flow of energy out of him. The once redish energy now became a hue of yellow/gold as he powered up, his muscles becoming far more defined and his hair standing up a bit from the rush.

But that was not all. "The forth gate... Anahata..." he strained, feeling the both physical and emotional pain of each trigger-- the forth being the hardest for him as he had to remember the memory of love he lost-- in paticular, master Roku's death. "... RELEASE!!"

The forth gate added new energy to the last one-- as now Asura was covered by a golden aura, his hair color transformed as well into the same golden hue. His muscles grew larger to fit his size -- but became more defined and stronger, chakra now radiating from him with the flow of this new aura. It was as almost this energy was no longer chakra-- but something else entirely.

However, with the passing second, Asura grunted as he felt it-- the physical consequences of the inner gates start to take their toll. The forth gate was the threshold of when things got dangerous as he felt his muscles ache from the overload of energy. To stay in it too long for the first time would begin to effect his energy and life force.

Luckily however, the third gate made that easier as he was now less effected by pain-- his drive being the force that drove him forward now!

Taking a refirmed stance on the ground, he glared at Shadow, now prepared to really fight. "Let's go..." he said, the energy around him flaring up.

At that moment-- Asura took off in a blur of golden speed, and proceeded to ram right into Shadow's gut, both via the sword's hilt and the speed of his own fist. After delivering the blow, he grabbed hold of the snake-man's limb and proceeded to swing him around like a wheel. Finally after a mighty third spin-- he threw him away into a nearby tree, causing him to crash!
