The Chunin Exams Mini - Event

Shao took a deep breath as he listened to the exam instructions. This one was much tricker-- and it seemed he didn't score well on the options. This was a different test. Not only to gauge strengh but to consider you're environment, the conditions and the tools at your own disposal. What was worse, the others had other numbers and they could only go into each room one at a time.

The three gave a glance at each other. For the first time, they seemed serious. After giving their good lucks to the sand ninja allies, they all nodded to say their own good luck. With that they scattered.

Shao soon approached the proctor . "State the door you wish to enter, and show your number."

Shao held out the paper, showing he had 2 attacks. "I wish to enter the Earth Door, please," he said clearly.

The proctor soon led him to the door with the earth symbol enscribed on it. The two entered inside-- and it soon shut behind him.

The room was covered with rocks. It was a dry seeming atmosphere-- but not like fire would be, but dry of moisture. The grand was rocky-- and the button in the center was surrounded by jagged rocks. He knew this was an artifical room. He wish he could use lightning to cut through... but that would have been a mistake.

"You only have 2 moves," the proctor stated, his expression emotionless and stern. "Please perform your jutsu."

Shao took a deep breath again, allowing himself to assess the information. This terrain would lessen his damage, but he had one shot-- and he had to make it count. He stood erect and wove a few hand signs before him-- and his eyesight seemed to intensify as he felt a throbbing to his eyes.

"Byakkugan..." he breathed, the white of his eyes now extending.

His Byakkugan now was active, allowing him more flexibility and precision in his attack. That was his first move-- and he had one move left. If he could make a hit with the one, and make it strong enough to break the button, it would be a success.

He soon looked around with his enhansed vision, and saw the button. With his Byakkugan, he could see in a variety of angles and through physical objects. THe rocks were acting to absorb damage, but if he struck at the weakest resistance, he could power through it all. But it would require the right amount of chakra at the right point. He only had one option. To give it all in one attack.

He entered the gentle fist stance-- preparing his energy to drive at it with one ninjutsu. It was then he kicked off and charged. He wove around some rocks but then rushed towards the button, using the gap between rocks and the weakest points to charge his arm forward.

Shao let out a shout as he drove his chakra into his right hand at a point-- producing the chakra scalple. If the goal was to strike as much damage directly to hit the button-- while adapting change in enviorment's effects and hitting at a higher angle, this was his best chance. He could only hope his aim was true as he thrust his chakra forward to hit the target...

Shan smirked, watching the doujutsu user and the bald monk flop. This contest seemed easy. Hit a button? He drew four so he had four shots. The tactic he should use seemed simple enough. He needed to walk in and just blast it with finger beams.

He considered using his eyes, but it seemed that they counted activating ones doujutsu as an attack. Shan was a smart cookie and did some quick math in his head. Yes, wasting the attack didn’t seem like a great idea. Well, with four he may actually have a slightly higher chance to hit if he used his Raidengan, but still. That was draining and would leave him unable to attack very quickly.

So, he walked forward and strolled through the door of Fire. He could feel the flames searing him but the Missing Nin ignored it as he pointed his finger.

“Hihihihihi!” He shouted as four beams of energy shot from his hand towards the button.

~ Narrator ~
> The first test finally concluded with the results of everyone’s hard work. Though it seemed the announcer wanted to speak to everyone once again.

~ Location: Water Country - Kiri ~

+ Announcer – Kage Aizawa: Waking up to see everyone had finished several medical shinobi came by taking bodies out from certain rooms as Aizawa just shook his head. ” I told them…” He would get everyone’s attention and point to a screen behind him. ”Very well done for those that hit the button either you took damage or you did not hand had a hand in faith that you’d make it…yet luck does not always save lives in battle. Now looking at the results here’s how the exam worked for scoring points. You all started with a total of 25 Points, big number I know…however that’s the kick in the butt for you all. Now if you remember the rules said the longer you take the more points you lose, that is correct because that button stopped the decreasing of your points. As many rushed in…well they lost their lives. So now here is the score board If you did not hit the button you lost all 25 points sad enough but hey it happens.”

+ Comment: You did great in utilizing your abilities and bloodline in battle, but some chances of hitting do not just come easily. Great job and continue working hard.

+ Comment: You went down swinging that leg of yours. In the end you missed, as I explained before full force at first is never bad. But when you are limited it can be. Good job though for doing your best within the allotted time.

+ Total Score: 10 Pts
+ Comment: The test does make one think they cannot hit or hit. But when you over use the time you are given it will come back to hunt you in a way. I would suggest studying over some supportive techniques as well.
+ Results: Lost 20 points due to over attacking.

- Genin: Kogeta Fuu -
+ Total Score: 5 pts
+ Comment: Taking advantage of the time is great, but when doing so it limits yourself on the battlefield as some attacks will miss and leave you open for another strike to kill you. Good job though for doing your best in this exam.
+ Results: Lost 21 points due to time.

+ Announcer – Kage Aizawa: ”With that the exams are concluded for the final exam to come. Because we will have guest coming from different countries to see how far you have come these past few days I am told that we shall continue this starting back up on Wednesday. Be ready for this also be careful…because in the end those the survive the days will get to the right to earn the next part. So fair warning stay on guard. With that you are dismissed.”

> The lives of so many young children and teens that are lost is heartbreaking. But the exams have concluded and you have days to enough yourself and talk with others. It should be noted that this is a peaceful time, yet like the announcer said…be on guard for you may be at peace it does not mean others will not try and attack you to increase their chances.

- Character Goal –
+ Players are free to roam around and shop and rest at the hospital to restore HP, Chakra and Stamina Just be sure to place rested at the end of your post.

+ During this time frame, you can Shop or even Train until Wednesday Morning 6am.

Shan was burnt – badly. He limped his way out of the Exam room after being told when the next event was. He could barely stand, but he managed to make his way into the hospital. Luckily, they said they would treat him for free. That was a relief, as Shan had no money after buying scrolls during the exams.

This was tougher than he thought it would be. Now, he needed to do better. As he rested, an idea formed within Shan’s mind. He didn’t come here to become a Chuunin – though the test was proving fun and difficult. No, he came here to find a worthy target.

And he had found one.

[Hospital-Rested]

Reo walked out of the exam area. He was barely hurt as the fire had managed to singe his skin but do barely anymore. He couldn’t believe how he had managed to make it to the third round without really passing anything. It seemed the gods were on his side after-all. Reo had spent a good bit of time worrying about whether his gods had forsaken him.

The deity consciousness stored within him was no help as it didn’t seem capable of communicating with him – though Reo wasn’t exactly sure he would want it to if it could. The young monk made it to the hospital and bowed.

“With all due respect, I would like to request your services to heal my body.”

“You barely look injured, young man.” The nurse said. Reo rose out of his deep bow.

Reo simply shook his head. “No, I am not as bad as some others. I am entering an important tournament, however, and need services if you are willing.”

“Of course, my dear.”

[Hospital - Rested]

Shao emerged from the room-- looking beated and ragged, exhausted from the stress of it all but had pulled through. He saw the looks of Mari and Shao-- showing they were just as nervous as well. However...

It was then when they got their critiques and told they all passed, did they all seem much happier regarding the information they were told. Both Mari and Kyle smiled at Shao.

"I knew we could do it!!" Kyle shouted happily m, and swung his arms around his teammates happily.

Shao was also surprised to see Reo and Fuu had pulled through. He was impressed Fuu was actually doing a great job-- as he knew she would. Even though-- that creepy intense blonde kid was also a s tep above as well.

There was much to prepare for-- so Shao and his friends quickly went ot the Hospital so they could recover and get back into top form.

(Went to hospital for rest)

After he left the hospital, Shan made his way back to look for the White Eyed man. He wasn’t sure what those eyes of his could do, but he wanted them. They would undoubtedly provide him ample power. He trained as he thought. He threw a wooden kunai around until he grew bored. Then, he decided to look for the boy who had caught his eye in the exam.

It was time to have some fun.

Eventually, he found the black haired white eyed boy. Oddly enough, Shan found the boy at the hospital that he had left hours before. He had wasted a large amount of time wandering around the village in search of someone who was where he started at.He stood with two others. Shan smiled and his lips reached out to his ears.

“My boy. I don’t know what clan you are a part of or what that power of yours is….but I think I’ll try to make it my own.” Shan laughed a little bit as he raised his finger.  His blonde hair felt lightly in front of his blue eyes as he stood there. He wore a combat with a black tshirt underneath and – of course – jeans. He wore no headband. “I hope you are quicker on your feet than you seemed during the exams.”

Reo walked out of the hospital and stretched. He had a few days, should he train? It would probably be wise to do so and try to become as strong as possible. The main question was whether he should use clones or not. He was leaning towards no. The clones left him too tired and he was a Genin in a foreign country who wasn’t exactly at ease. He could be attacked from nowhere at any moment and that wouldn’t be good.

Well. Regardless. Reo walked out of the hospital until he found a rocky outcropping. There was a slight mist in the air which bothered the monk slightly. He wasn’t used to being so close to the water. Then, he began to train.
